City officials continue investigating the cause of a partial building collapse Tuesday afternoon at 612 Main St. in Cañon City.
Emergency and utility crews responded to the structure at about 5:20 p.m. and discovered that portions of a first- and second-floor east exterior wall had broken away from the building and collapsed.
There were two ground-floor businesses and one occupied residential space upstairs.
“Thankfully, there were no injuries; one family was displaced and is staying with family,” states a press release from the City of Cañon City on Wednesday.
