A meeting which could have led to the removal of the Colorado Republican Party’s chairman and possibly other leadership, and the election of a new chairman, was cancelled late Friday night.
It has been converted into a rally for conservative causes. The rally is at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at Brighton’s Harvest Fellowship Church, 11401 E. 160th Ave.
The notice of the rally appears as if no discussion of the prior meeting’s purpose will take place. It indicates those who had expressed interest in running for chairman in March’s re-organizational meeting will speak. Those persons could be Eli Bremer, Richard Holtorf, Brita Horn, Jay Misary and Steve Peck.
The rally will also include presentations from Protect Kids Colorado, Colorado Life Initiative and a ranked-choice voting presentation.
The previously called meeting could be rescheduled for August.
