U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., reported to delegates and attendees Monday evening at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisc., that under her leadership the party has a simple to understand platform.

The 20-point plan focuses on sealing the border, ending inflation, restoring America’s energy dominance, restoring American jobs, defending the U.S. Constitution and much more. Blackburn chaired the committee creating the platform.

“We produced a different kind of platform, one dedicated to the forgotten men and women of America,” she said.

Examples in the platform include the ending of the weaponization of the American government against its people, addressing migrant crime, demolishing drug cartels, making cities safe, strengthening the military, protecting Social Security and Medicare from cuts, defunding woke policies of Critical Race Theory and gender ideology, and importantly to conservatives removing costly regulations.

“[President Joe] Biden and [Vice President Kamala] Harris outsourced our energy supply,” Blackburn said. “We will make America energy dominant. You know who will make that happen: Donald Trump.”

She complained the White House and Washington, D.C., Democrats believe small business owners are wealthy, needing “to pay their fair share,” she said.

Added Blackburn: “We all know that’s code for you will pay more taxes. Our party’s platform commits to making the Trump tax cuts permanent.”

She also pledged a Trump Administration would “look at those 85,000 IRS agents and say you’re fired.”

“President Trump will keep his promises just like he did the first time,” Blackburn said.
