Study: Colorado ranks fourth nationally for deadly boating accidents

Colorado lakes and reservoirs are expected to be busier as time moves closer to the end of the summer and the Labor Day holiday weekend.

A new study compiled using statistics provided by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and United States Coast Guard and utilized by personal injury lawyers Anidjar & Levine shows Colorado ranks fourth in the nation for dangerous boating.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson Kara Van Hoose said any type of watercraft, including boats, jet skis, paddle boards and kayaks, should be used responsibly.
