When crooks plowed an SUV into a smoke shop in east Colorado Springs in the wee hours of Monday morning, it was only the latest in a long list of similar crimes reported in the city just since the spring.
Starting in late March and then really escalating beginning in May, 10 stores across the city have been targeted by criminals in vehicles.
