The Colorado Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on House Bill 25-1312, titled “Legal Protections for Gender Expression and Identity,” this Wednesday, April 30 at the Colorado State Capitol.
The bill, which has already passed the House, could redefine “discrimination” to include parents, teachers, and citizens who don’t comply with radical gender ideology demands—including pronoun use and so-called “gender-affirming care.”

- In-Person Testimony

➔ No advance registration required for in-person testimony.
➔ Attendees are advised to arrive early, as hearings often run long and seating may be limited.

Important Note on Testimony Time Limits
The Senate Judiciary Committee has announced that testimony will be limited to eight total hours—four hours in support and four hours in opposition.
Due to this limitation:
- Remote testifiers may not all be called if time expires.
- Submitting written testimony is recommended for those unable to speak live.
General Testifying Tips
- Prepare remarks in advance and keep them to under two minutes.
- Speak clearly and respectfully.
- Personal experiences, professional expertise, and factual references are welcomed.
- No signs, slogans, or demonstrations are permitted inside the hearing room.
