RMV keeps expanding its mission to inform, empower–and engage

At a recent Morgan County GOP gathering, RMV Ambassador Drake Hunter announced that Rocky Mountain Voice is expanding into Northeast Colorado with a new newsroom in Fort Morgan – part of a broader effort to support civic engagement and community journalism.

“Rocky Mountain Voice isn’t just growing – it’s reaching communities across Colorado to ensure local voices are heard,” said Hunter. “By establishing newsrooms and encouraging engagement, we’re creating a space where citizens can be informed, connected, and empowered.”

Behind every article, RMV stands for free speech, faith, and the Constitution. The organization stands for free speech, faith freedom, and protecting the rights of everyday Coloradans.

“You don’t have to be the loudest in the room to make a difference,” Hunter said. “Real influence comes from standing firm in your values, taking action with integrity, and leading by example.”

Rocky Mountain Voice is investing in the next generation of journalists. The organization encourages citizen journalists to take out their pens – including students, to give young people experience in media. Their recent launch of another Turning Point USA high school chapter in Colorado (there are over 20!) will provide more opportunities for civic involvement and leadership training for Colorado’s future leaders.

Hunter encouraged the group to take responsibility, stand firm in their values, and support their communities. “Real change doesn’t happen by accident. It takes individuals willing to step up, take action, and stand firm in their values. When we work together with purpose, we don’t just shift conversations – we shape the future.”

Rocky Mountain Voice has grown from a small news outlet into a movement under the leadership of founder Heidi Ganahl. This growth is driven by honest reporting, a focus on local voices, and efforts to restore trust in media.

Hunter urged attendees to stay informed, get involved, and strengthen their communities.

Rocky Mountain Voice is hosting several events to engage with the public. The organization will hold a Second Amendment legislative discussion on June 10 at RMV’s northeast Colorado newsroom in downtown Fort Morgan from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

In June, RMV will host the Rocky Mountain Majesty Gala in Denver, featuring Eric Trump as the keynote speaker. The gala will be a fundraiser to support the organization’s expanding operations. Tickets are available for purchase here: https://events.rockymountainvoice.com/events/rmv-gala
