When rural Colorado shows up for each other, the whole state gets stronger. That belief echoed throughout the Off-the-Clock Networking Hour on June 25, where Leticia Morales was welcomed as Executive Director of the Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce.
Held in the spirit of connection and collaboration, the event brought together local leaders, media partners, and civic voices who share a common goal: strengthening the bonds that make Morgan County, and all of Colorado, thrive.
As a lifelong resident of Morgan County, Morales’ appointment represents both a homegrown success story and a bold step forward for the Chamber’s vision.
“This is more than just a new chapter for me, it’s a new opportunity for all of us,” said Morales during her welcome remarks. “I’m passionate about building bridges between businesses, between communities, and between generations. That’s what this Chamber stands for—and I’m ready to serve with all my heart.”
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Fort Morgan Police Chief Loren Sharp, Chamber President Gloria Mosqueda, Chamber Treasurer Shelly Bristol, Wayne Johnson, owner and general manager of Media Logic Radio (host of the iconic Bob Stock Music Festival), and Alec Creighton, owner of Northeast Colorado Broadcasting.
Their presence underscored the importance of strong leadership and community-rooted connection—two qualities Morales brings in abundance.
“Leticia’s leadership isn’t just local—it’s inspirational,” said Chamber President Gloria Mosqueda. “She knows our region, she listens deeply, and she knows how to get things done.”
As an RMV Ambassador, I was struck by how this gathering reflected something bigger than just one event. In a time when rural communities often feel sidelined, this networking hour served as a reminder that real change begins in rooms like this, where handshakes turn into partnerships and conversations evolve into collaboration.

Morales’ appointment is a symbol of the strength of rural communities, and this event was a celebration of what happens when we lead with unity, truth, and goodwill.
Morales brings to this leadership role a deep commitment to service, a strategic vision for growth, and the relational insight only a local can offer. With her at the helm, the Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce is poised to amplify the voices of businesses, non-profits, and civic partners across Northeast Colorado—and beyond.
With energy high and relationships deepened, Fort Morgan is embracing its next chapter, guided by a director who knows the heart of her community and the path forward.
