Two arrested for allegedly shooting cows to death in Montrose County

By Kacie Sinton | KKCO-TV 11 News A teenager and one other person have been arrested after allegedly shooting three cows to death in Montrose County. On Friday, a combined group of Delta and Montrose County Deputies carried out a search warrant looking for evidence related to the shooting at 25 Mesa Road. By Noah Festenstein | The Gazette, via the Denver Gazette The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and animal law enforcement officers are investigating a recent incident where a dog ingested rodent poison while walking through a Castle Pines neighborhood, according to a news release Sunday. Authorities called the incident accidental, saying the poison, was legally dispensed in the Tapestry Hills neighborhood. It is unclear what the dog’s condition is Sunday after ingesting a poison pellet. Douglas County Animal Law Enforcement Sgt. Commerce City police officer hurt after suspected DUI driver crashes into patrol vehicle

By Jennifer McRae | CBS Colorado A Commerce City police officer was hurt in a crash when a suspected DUI driver slammed into the back of the patrol vehicle. The crash happened just after midnight Tuesday northwest of Denver on I-270 west of Vasquez.  According to investigators, one officer was inside the SUV at the time of the crash and rushed to the hospital. According to a social media report, deputies responded to a 911 call at around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday from someone who saw the baby boy only in his diaper sitting in a car seat on a median near 7490 Pecos St. and stopped to help. The area is a busy roadway that’s near an intersection with U.S. Highway 36. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said it had arrested the child’s biological parents and was seeking to charge them with felony child abuse. The call for service came in at 4:08 a.m. When officers arrived at the residence, they found that the incident involved the alleged shooter and their father. Police investigating King Soopers bomb threat found to be unsubstantiated

By Heather Willard, Samantha Jarpe | Fox 21 News Aurora police responded to a shopping center near South Peoria Street and East Cornell Avenue on Monday evening for a reported bomb threat that was found to be unsubstantiated. The Aurora Police Department’s bomb unit was on scene to investigate a bomb threat reported inside the King Soopers store located in the shopping center. Police issued a shelter-in-place order for residents from Cornell Avenue to East Dartmouth Avenue and from Peoria Street to Interstate 25, which was lifted at about 6:30 p.m. During the investigation, the intersection was closed to traffic.
