Lee and Lundberg: A call to get involved with Protect Kids Colorado

By Erin Lee and Kevin Lundberg | Guest Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice

Protect Kids Colorado (PKC) first launched earlier this year with two citizen initiatives to address the harm being caused by gender ideology in our public schools.

Along with several other strong community leaders, we worked overtime to stand up a permanent organization that will protect kids in Colorado from the dangers of transgender ideology through education, citizen initiatives and aggressive oversight of state and local legislation.

Our two initiatives that would have simply kept biological males out of girls sports and informed parents when their child has been transitioned in public schools did not make the ballot – not this year anyway. However, hundreds of Coloradans have stepped up to work with us on this important project.

PKC has built a broad coalition, focused on fortifying parental rights and protecting kids. We’re proud to have linked arms with other hardworking organizations who also care deeply about these issues like Colorado Parent Advocacy Network, Gays Against Groomers, and Grandparents4Kids. Our efforts also attracted support from people engaged in this battle at the national level, like Riley Gaines, Chloe Cole and Billboard Chris, who are well-known advocates for protecting kids and parents from this growing contagion.

Although the country issued a mandate against this insidious ideology, the fight to protect children in Colorado stands to only get bigger. We cover the harms this ideology has caused Colorado families and the broader agenda in our state in our film Art Club (available for free at ArtClubMovie.com) This is a long-term cause that needs full-time support. We are now working to make PKC a strong pillar of support for parents who need a voice in this battle for the lives of our children and grandchildren. We need every well-meaning Colorado citizen to do their part to make PKC a permanent reality.

Our first step is to develop a solid funding base, starting with you. Please help with a commitment for ongoing support or a one-time contribution of any amount. We have set up a funding campaign to first establish a funding base of $10,000 each month. For more information go to https://protectkidscolorado.app.neoncrm.com/campaigns/recurring-donors

Secondly, join the team! As we look at the next campaign cycle we are considering several initiative possibilities, but first we must continue to raise up the funds and an army of volunteers to guarantee success in our next initiative effort. We will have opportunities to participate in testifying at the state legislature, the ballot initiative process, in education efforts, and gathering signatures to get We The People’s voice on the ballot.

We are laying the groundwork now to steer our state away from this pervasive ideology that has invaded classroom as young as first grade now by state mandate, teaching these young minds that gender is fluid and boys can be girls, girls can be boys, you can erase your sex all together, encouraging secrecy from parents and even promoting gender mutilation.

We are all created immutably male or female. To corrupt this very fundamental principle of humanity is to deny reality. To preach this new dogma to kids in our public schools, telling them they’re born in the wrong body and erasing female’s single-sex spaces, is an unacceptable crime against these vulnerable children and a crime against humanity.

Please help Protect Kids Colorado become a powerful voice for reason for all of Colorado! Our kids and grandkids are counting on us.
