Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) are set to hold rallies in Denver and Greeley on March 21, 2025, as part of Sanders’ national “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” tour. The events will focus on opposition to President Donald Trump’s second-term policies while promoting a far-left economic agenda that has drawn criticism from conservatives across Colorado.
The rallies will take place at Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley at 1 p.m., followed by a second event at Civic Center Park in Denver at 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP through the Bernie Sanders website.
Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez have used their nationwide tour to rally support for socialist-style economic policies, including expanded government control over healthcare, housing, and taxation. The events also serve as a direct response to Trump’s America First economic policies, which have emphasized deregulation, tax cuts, and domestic energy production.
While Denver has long been a liberal stronghold, Greeley is home to a large working-class and agricultural community, many of whom have backed Trump’s economic policies. The decision to bring the tour to Greeley is seen by some as an attempt to expand progressive influence into conservative-leaning areas.
With the 2026 midterms on the horizon, these rallies mark an early effort to mobilize left-wing voters and push back against the conservative resurgence in Colorado. However, local Republican organizations have vowed to counteract the narrative, emphasizing the economic success of Trump’s policies and urging Coloradans to reject the socialist shift advocated by Sanders and AOC.
