Water is going to get a little more expensive next year.

Denver Water commissioners unanimously voted Wednesday to raise rates to generate about 6% more revenue. Individual customers’ increases depend on where they live and how much water they use. The utility last raised its rates in January.

Under the new rates, the average monthly bill for a single-family Denver customer will rise from $56.97 to $60.21. The average Denver household will pay about $3.24 more a month.

“The 2027 rates and drought rates address the unprecedented conditions we all are facing and respond to the need to ensure Denver Water’s system is protected and remains financially stable,” Angela Bricmont, Denver Water’s chief financial officer, said in a statement.
