Senate backs Trump’s ‘DOGE cuts’ as conservatives target foreign aid, woke grants

By David Sivak | Washington Examiner Congress is poised to claw back billions in foreign aid after the Senate narrowly passed $9 billion in DOGE-inspired cuts on Thursday. In a 51-48 vote, the Senate approved the White House request, known as a rescission bill, all but clearing the way for it to become law. Just two Republicans – Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) – joined Democrats in voting “no.” The request now heads back to the House, which narrowly passed a similar version in June. Thursday’s vote, which came after a marathon voting session that stretched late into the night, is a major victory for President Donald Trump and a 180–degree turn from an unsuccessful rescission request Trump made in his first term. Centri...

Enos: One Big Beautiful Bill? Encouraging news for homeschool freedom—and reason to stay engaged

By Colleen Enos | Commentary, Christian Home Educators of Colorado By now, everyone has heard about the passage of HR1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, by our Federal Congress. President Trump signed the bill into law on the 4th of July, before the fireworks began exploding in Washington, D.C., to celebrate America’s 249th birthday. The Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) was included in the legislation. Passing the bill was a monumental event, with the Trump Administration touting it as its signature achievement. It is important to note that the Education Scholarship donations provided for in the bill are made by individuals and are, therefore, private monies. They are not tax dollars. Delmarva claims that “this structure is intended to address c...

Revealed Memo: D.C. Judges Admitted Bias Against Trump Agenda

By Margot Cleveland | The Federalist Federal judge James Boasberg advised Chief Justice John Roberts and some two dozen other judges that his D.C. colleagues were “concerned that the Administration would disregard rulings of federal courts leading to a constitutional crisis,” according to a memorandum obtained exclusively by The Federalist. That Judge Boasberg and his fellow D.C. District Court judges would discuss how a named Defendant in numerous pending lawsuits might respond to an adverse ruling is shocking. Equally outrageous is those judges’ clear disregard for the presumption of regularity — a presumption that requires a court to presume public officials properly discharged their official duties. During the week of March 11, 2025, members of the Judicial Conference met in Was...

New Evidence Confirms Trump-Russia Story Was ‘Manufactured’

By Paul Sperry | Real Clear Investigations The floodgates holding back long-buried classified documents exposing government efforts to claim Donald Trump conspired with Vladimir Putin to manipulate the 2016 U.S. presidential election might finally be opening. Trump administration officials held an urgent meeting Sunday to discuss “new information on Russiagate,” which they might use to build a criminal conspiracy case against Obama and Biden administration political appointees who allegedly weaponized the government against Trump, two Trump administration officials told RealClearInvestigations. The documents are said to contain long-classified information, including a secret 200-page congressional audit that reveals details about how an intelligence community assessment on Russia ...

Joondeph: Indoctrinated, indebted and disillusioned—why socialism seduces Gen Z

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker Once seen as a taboo word in American politics, socialism has experienced a notable resurgence, especially among young voters. Polls show that more than half of millennials and Gen Zers now view socialism favorably. Politicians like Senator Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have transformed what was once a fringe ideology into a highly popular political movement. Even more troubling, they’ve achieved this not through real policy solutions but by promoting a utopian fantasy rooted in grievance, entitlement, and historical ignorance. Image via ChatGPT Socialism is a system of “governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.” No truly socialist socie...

Senate prepares to approve Trump’s $9B spending cuts as GOP unites on fiscal restraint

By Alexander Bolton | The Hill Senate Republicans say they have the votes to pass a package of $9 billion in spending cuts, which would give President Trump another big legislative victory in less than a month, after GOP leaders quelled a revolt from members of the powerful Appropriations Committee. Russell Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), told reporters Tuesday that the “rescissions package” now has enough votes to pass the Senate after he and the Senate GOP leaders agreed to an amendment to remove cuts to the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the global initiative former President George W. Bush launched in 2003 to combat AIDS. Vought, the administration’s chief budget watchdog, also worked out a side deal with ...

Marketing group CEO rejects $20M offer to stage anti-Trump protests: ‘Didn’t want to be involved’

By Thomas Stevenson | Post Millennial "We rejected an offer that probably is worth around $20 million." The CEO of "Crowds on Demand" has said that he rejected an offer of $20 million to organize the "Good Trouble Lives On" protests taking place on July 17. The CEO of Crowds on Demand Adam Stewart told reporters at News Nation, "We rejected an offer that probably is worth around $20 million ... The value of the contract would have been worth around that amount nationwide to organize huge demonstrations around the country. But personally, I just don't think it's effective." When News Nation addressed who had offered him the money, he did not say who it was that had approached him about organizing the protest and that he had concerns about violence, thought it would be ineffectiv...

White House Scrambles to Review One Million Biden Autopen Docs

By Tim Pearce | Daily Wire The White House is conducting a review of potentially more than one million documents approved through the autopen process under former President Joe Biden. The White House Counsel’s Office is leading an investigation into the former president and his staff’s use of the autopen. The White House has already assembled tens of thousands of documents from Biden’s term turned over by the National Archives for review, according to Fox News. “Joe Biden was the worst, most incompetent, and senile president in our country’s history,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News. “It has been widely reported that Joe Biden handed the power of the presidency to an autopen controlled by unelected leftist staffers, who were allowed to make terrible decisions that d...

Langone: Tariffs Worked, America Is Stronger Because of Trump’s Leadership

By Charlotte Hazard | Just The News Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone said Tuesday that his concerns about President Donald Trump's tariff policy were unfounded, and he supports the president. “I think, damn it, give Trump credit, his instincts are good,” Langone said in a statement, according to The Daily Caller. “Some of these things need to be fixed. Take Germany, take Japan. God bless America, 80 years ago, when the war was over, we made our mind up, we’re not going to be the conquering hero. We’re going to go in and help these countries rebuild themselves. And we did. To our credit, we did.” At first, Langone was skeptical about tariffs, but said he is "sold" on the current president. Earlier this year, Trump imposed reciprocal tariffs on multiple countries, but then issue...

Elite economist slips: Deportations under Trump raised wages

By Neil Munro | Breitbart President Donald Trump is pushing up wages for millions of Americans by ending the federal welcome for millions of illegal migrants, says a pro-migration economist at a Washington, DC, think-tank. “We’re going to see stronger wage growth in some occupations, stronger wage growth in the agricultural sector, stronger wage growth for home health workers,” said Wendy Edelberg, a “senior fellow” at the elite-funded Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. But the loss of deported migrants will have “pretty modest economic effects” on the overall size of the nation’s economy, she told Bloomberg on July 11. “I think those [economic effects] are dwarfed by just the visceral effect” as business reacts to the sudden cut-off of expected migrants, she said. “We ma...
