On Monday night, the Denver City Council voted 11 to one to ban the sale of flavored tobacco products.
This ordinance would include bans on e-cigarettes, menthol cigarettes, vapes and other flavored nicotine and tobacco products.
It was a lengthy meeting for council members, as they had 34 community members signed up to speak on both sides of the aisle. Supporters were wearing red, and those opposed had donned yellow shirts with the words, “Stop the Menthol Ban! Save our Stores and Jobs!”
