Lawmakers march in arctic temps Monday, but skip work Tuesday cause it’s cold

SOURCE: COLORADO PEAK POLITICS

We hope state lawmakers are enjoying their bonus four-day weekend, what with it being too cold or something to go to work after Monday’s big chill.

How privileged they are to get paid for not going to work because it’s cold outside.

There were a lot of dedicated folks out there marching in the snow Monday to honor Martin Luther King, Jr., who wouldn’t miss it for the world. Then there were the politicians.

Western Slope Boomers and Gen Xers don’t understand the concept of cold or snow days. They telemarked to school during whiteouts.

Uphill. Both ways.

But millennials and zoomers are raised to believe that skipping work and still getting paid is socialism simply the American way. It’s in the Constitution, somewhere after the right to shit on the sidewalks, or riot with impunity for a social media post.

Just ask “Timmy Hamas.” Pretty sure that’s him in one of the photos.

And so our Colorado lawmakers were able to march past the Capitol in a snowstorm for a parade yesterday, yet bail on doing the work of the people today.

No wonder Biden and the Democrats are letting migrants by the millions crash our southern border, and handing out worker permits as fast as they can.

Somebody’s got to earn a paycheck and pay the taxes to cover these politicians’ paychecks.
