Signatures needed to petition for a place on the primary ballot has been met by just three candidates for Congress to have pulled a petition, a report by the office of the Colorado secretary of state reads.
Democrat Joe Neguse in the 2nd District, Republican Curtis McCrackin in the 3rd District and Republican Lauren Boebert in the 4th District have each met sufficient signatures needed to be placed on the ballot.
The deadline for petitions to be filed with the secretary of state’s office is Tuesday, March 19, the online form reads. The form details a deadline, if the petition has been filed and petitions that have been deemed sufficient.
In addition to Boebert, a petition for Republican Deborah Flora in the 4th District and for Jeff Crank in the 5th District has been returned to the secretary of state’s office, but not yet verified to be sufficient. Four petitions have been withdrawn by candidates no longer seeking a Congressional office.
Other candidates to have successfully met the signature criteria to petition for a place on the ballot include: Democrat Judy Amabile in State Senate District 18, Democrat Lindsey Daugherty in State Senate District 19, Democrat Cecilia Espinoza in State House District 4, Democrat Julie Joseph in State House District 10, and Democrat Leora Joseph in the 2nd District district attorney’s race.
Additionally, there are two petitions submitted in the State Senate which have not been confirmed to be sufficient yet, along with six petitions in the State House and three petitions for district attorney.
