 Jose Ibarra found guilty of killing Georgia nursing student Laken Riley

By Ashe Schow | Daily Wire The illegal immigrant on trial for the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley has been found guilty on all counts. Jose Ibarra, 26, was found guilty on 10 charges, including murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault with intent to rape Riley, who was found murdered after she went jogging at the University of Georgia in Athens, the New York Post reported. Ibarra had previously waived his right to a jury trial, so the verdict came from Judge Patrick Haggard during a bench trial. By Cory Gaines | Commentary, Complete Colorado Wanting to support your community and get civically engaged?  Do you also like warm cookies?  I suppose the Venn Diagram for these two things would likely show a lot of overlap.  I’m right there in the middle anyway. In what is surely a startling coincidence–how could it be otherwise?–two articles appeared within 5 days of each other in Colorado Public Radio and the Colorado Sun.  The former ostensibly telling people how to get involved in their communities, and the latter a glowing profile of a nonprofit focused on civic engagement.  Both, of course, have at their center the group Warm Cookies of the Revolution.  Friendly and homey name, no? The state reported its unemployment rate hit 4.1% in October, up from 4% the month before — matching the national average after being below the U.S. rate all year, according to data from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment's report released Monday. By Nicole Silverio | Daily Signal Jose Ibarra, the alleged murderer of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley, traveled from New York City to Georgia after requesting a humanitarian flight, his roommate testified Monday. Ibarra is currently standing trial after being charged for the murder of Riley, who died in February from blunt force trauma to the head outside of the University of Georgia’s campus. Ibarra’s roommate, Rosbeli Elisber Flores-Bello, testified that she and the suspected murderer arrived at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City and requested a humanitarian flight to Athens, Georgia, in September 2023. “In Manhattan, we requested a humanitarian flight to come here to Atlanta,” Flores-Bello said when asked how they arrived in Georgia. ...
