Hundreds of New York Times tech staffers go on strike ahead of Election Day

By David Rutz | Fox News The New York Times Tech Guild that represents hundreds of the giant newspaper's tech staffers went on strike on Monday, one day before Election Day. The guild said in a statement that members would begin protesting outside the Times headquarters on a daily basis, beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, according to the New York Times. The planned walkout came after a vote on Sept. 10 to go on strike at a critical juncture if a deal wasn't made: Election Week. Anticipation and interest in the 2024 election is at a fever pitch, and the New York Times has the largest online subscription base of any American newspaper and one of the most highly trafficked news websites.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Can you wear your political gear to the polls in Colorado?

By Jeremy Tanner | The Hill, via Fox 31 News An outfit may not be the first thing most people think of before heading to the polls, but a misstep while dressing could jeopardize one’s vote depending on the state. All states have some restrictions when it comes to voting in person, and most states have rules about actively campaigning within a certain distance of a polling place. Some states, however, have extended that rule to include a dress code. One of those states is New Jersey, where a reported incident between an early voter and a poll worker received national attention after vice-presidential candidate JD Vance commented on a post. University of Colorado regent race in 3rd District: A contest of visions, with Ray Scott taking center stage

By Heidi Ganahl | Rocky Mountain Voice As Colorado’s 3rd District prepares for a crucial vote for a new University of Colorado regent, the race between former State Sen. Ray Scott and minister/educator Robert Logan highlights competing visions for the future of the University of Colorado system. The election, which comes at a time when higher education faces both budgetary challenges and calls for innovation, presents voters with a choice between two experienced leaders. However, Scott’s campaign is gaining momentum because of his unique blend of legislative expertise and commitment to financial oversight. Logan, who moved back to Durango after completing his seminary training, began an eight-year stint as a local minister before getting his teaching degree from Fort Lewis College...

The Case of the Disappearing Ballots

By Wendi Strauch Mahoney, American Thinker Mail-in ballots are on the docket in several ongoing election fraud cases in Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. The lawsuits ask for transparency with regard to contracts with the United States Postal Service (USPS) to transport alleged completed mail-in ballots. The lawsuits hope to get to the bottom of questions about the legitimacy of the ballots, where the ballots are going, and what is being done with them. These cases may settle questions around whether fraudulent ballots are being used in our elections to stuff the ballot box, among other things. In October 2020, thousands of mail-in ballots were allegedly transported across state lines from Bethpage N.Y. to PA. Evidence shows that ballots were loaded on to a truc...

Ignore polling – Democrats are in the ‘pull the goalie’ phase

By The Conservative Tree House There is that moment in the final minutes of the hockey game’s third period, when the score is 3-2 and the coach of the losing team signals to pull the goalie.  We are in the political equivalent of that moment. Ignore all the push polling that will surface today and in the next 48 hours.  Everything you see, read, hear and view on the electronic devices is now part of an influence operation that has reached its desperate apex.  The pull the goalie phase of the manipulation effort to influence the 2024 presidential election is upon us. The USA Today poll by Ann Selzer, recorded in the official declarations pushed by the Des Moines Register, published late yesterday, was part of the design.  In essence, the scripted play was to set...

Libertarian Party Sues Colorado Sec. of State Jena Griswold Over BIOS Passwords Scandal

By Brian Lupo , Gateway Pundit This week, The Gateway Pundit reported that Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold’s website had published approximately 600 BIOS passwords for the election equipment in 63 out of 64 counties in Colorado. The illegal exposure of the passwords was first caught in August of this year but believed to have been published as early as June, before the state’s primary election.  And they weren’t removed until late October. Kyle Clark of 9News interviewed Griswold Wednesday evening and questioned her about the severity of the ‘leak’ and the implications of publishing those passwords. Of course, Griswold ducked and dodged the impact of her office’s actions, specifically, the consequences of former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters c...

Counties across Colorado, including Boulder, offer behind-the-scenes tours to show how ballots get sorted

By Sarah Horbacewicz | CBS Colorado As we push forward to Election Day, it's not just getting busy at the ballot dropoff boxes in Colorado but behind the scenes. Layers of staff and security work to keep your ballot safe, and Boulder County wants to give voters the chance to see that process for themselves. Ahead of the election they're offering tours of where they're counting ballots and this year a record number of people are taking them up on it. In her busiest season, County Clerk and Reporter Molly Fitzpatrick also hosts some of those tours. This year alone the office has welcomed more than 200 people to see the democratic process firsthand. Along the tour, Fitzpatrick points out the machines and humans (of a mix of political parties) that sort your ballot. The group then mov...

These 2 battleground counties may choose our next President

By Elizabeth Troutman Mitchell  | The Daily Signal In battleground Michigan, two swing counties may determine which presidential candidate will clinch the state’s 15 Electoral College votes. Oakland and Kent counties have undergone major demographic changes over the past two decades. Both used to be Republican strongholds, but growth in the Detroit suburbs and the city of Grand Rapids turned the counties from red to blue in 2020. Yet many of the two counties’ demographics—members of the working class, black Americans, Arab Americans, Jews, and Christians—say they’ve grown weary of Democrats after three and a half years of inflation, open borders, and unrest abroad. Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Warns Israel, U.S. of ‘Teeth-Breaking’ Attack

By Simon Kent | Breitbart Israel and the U.S. will endure “teeth-breaking” retaliation after Israeli forces struck Iran military sites in late October, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Saturday. “The enemies, both the U.S. and the Zionist regime, should know that they will definitely receive a teeth-breaking response for what they are doing against Iran and the resistance front,” Khamenei said while addressing a student group, UPI reports. “We are certainly doing everything necessary to prepare the Iranian nation to stand against arrogance, whether in terms of military readiness, armaments or political actions.” READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

FEMA failed to answer nearly half of the calls for assistance, aid it received during Hurricanes Helen and Milton: report

By Chris Harris | New York Post The Federal Emergency Management Agency failed to answer nearly half of the calls for aid and assistance it recently received during Hurricanes Helene and Milton, a report released this week shows. During a recent week, FEMA’s call centers were so overwhelmed, almost half of all callers never connected with a federal working, according to data released this week. And it took federal agents on average more than an hour to actually pick up those calls that were answered. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST
