Meta CEO admits Biden-Harris admin pressured company to censor Americans

By Greg Wehner | Fox Business Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a letter on Monday that his company, Facebook, was pressured by the Biden-Harris administration to censor Americans, particularly regarding COVID-19 content. Zuckerberg made the admission in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, more than a year after providing the committee with thousands of documents as part of its investigation into content moderation on online platforms. Along with documents, the Meta CEO said, the company has provided a dozen employees to be available for transcribed interviews, stressing Meta’s cooperation with the investigation. ‘Weaker than reported’ U.S. economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than first accounting

By Megan Henney  | Fox Business U.S. job growth during much of the past year was significantly weaker than previously reported, according to new data published Wednesday. The Bureau of Labor Statistics revised down its total tally of jobs created in the year through March by 818,000 as part of its preliminary annual benchmark review of payroll data. That suggests the economy added an average of 174,000 jobs per month during that time period — below the previous 242,000 estimate. On a monthly basis, that amounts to about 68,000 fewer jobs. It marks the largest downward revision since 2009. READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX BUSINESS

Budget watchdog: Harris’ economic plan would add over $1.7T to national debt

By Eric Revell  | Fox Business A key part of Vice President Kamala Harris' newly released economic agenda would add $1.7 trillion to America's growing national debt, according to a budget watchdog. The plan, dubbed an "Agenda to Lower Costs for American Families," was released Friday as Harris lays out her platform in her campaign for president. It includes expansions of the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, as well as an extension of the health insurance premium subsidies under the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare) that are due to expire at the end of next year. It would also establish a new $25,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers, expand tax credits for building affordable housing, create a $40 billion housing innovation fund, and seek to lower prescription d...

After Trump says Harris presidency could lead to ‘1929-style depression’, former WH economist warns it could ‘shut down’ entire economy

By Kayla Bailey | Fox Business A former White House economist is sounding the alarm on Vice President Kamala Harris' economic agenda after former President Trump warned the U.S. would suffer a "1929-style depression" under a Harris presidency. "My guess is that a lot of the things she said in the past about what she really wants to do, like the Green New Deal, for example… getting carbon-neutral by 2030 – all that kind of stuff would cause a deep recession toward carbon," Kevin Hassett told "The Big Money Show" Thursday.  "Carbon-neutral by 2030 is almost impossible. 75% of our electricity comes from burning fossil fuels. So how are they going to do that if they try it? That you're just going to have to shut down the economy?" READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX BUSINESS...

Sen. Tim Scott: ‘The American people are smarter than Kamala Harris when it comes to the economy’

By Julia Johnson  | Fox Business Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., shredded Vice President Kamala Harris' economic proposal on Friday, which laid out a sweeping overhaul including broad cross-industry price-fixing and $25,000 government-subsidized down payments for first-time home buyers.  "The American people are smarter than Kamala Harris when it comes to the economy," the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Ranking Member told Fox News Digital in an interview.  "The ‘price-gouging’ that they've experienced has come at the hands of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden," Scott said. "When you artificially stimulate the economy by the federal government and the Democrats spending trillions of dollars, the net effect is high inflation, high interest, high demand and lower sup...

Google execs pressed to testify after admitting Trump assassination attempt search omissions were by design

By Julia Johnson  | Fox Business Google admitted that autocomplete search results regarding the assassination attempt against former President Trump last month were prohibited by design and part of the company's policy for "hypothetical political violence against current figures." FOX Business reported exclusively in July that Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., was launching an investigation into Google after its autocomplete search results did not register the assassination attempt against Trump on July 13, which was dominating the news. He questioned the company in a letter over the search function, asking about its algorithm and what decisions were made in the aftermath of the attack on Trump.  In its response to the senator, Google Vice President of Government Affairs...

There’s a DEI reason you won’t hear ‘ladies and gentlemen’ at a Delta gate any longer

By Hannah Grossman | Fox Business Over the last few years, Delta Air Lines has embraced the diversity, equity and inclusion agenda under the purview of a chief officer who believes that the phrase "ladies and gentlemen" isn't inclusive.  Delta's Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Social Impact Officer Kyra Lynn Johnson has said publicly Delta is striving to "boldly pursue equity" which has impacted every level of the company, from its hiring practices to the language it uses in gate announcements.  "So we're beginning to take a hard look at things like our gatehouse announcements. You know, we welcome ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ And we've asked ourselves, ‘Is that as gender inclusive as we want to be?’" Johnson said during a February 2021 panel with other DEI insiders. "You...

Driven by recession concerns, market plunges; Dow opens down 1,000 points, Big Tech stocks fall

By Matthew Kazin  | Fox Business Stocks plunged on Monday as U.S. recession fears caused turmoil throughout the global markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 1,000 points, while the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 also fell by 3.9% and 3.2%, respectively. A weak jobs report and shrinking manufacturing activity in the world's largest economy, coupled with dismal forecasts from the big technology firms, pushed the Nasdaq 100 and Nasdaq Composite into a correction last week. "While Friday’s employment report was disappointing, it wasn’t the only worrisome economic indicator, only the latest," said Greg McBride, Bankrate's chief financial analyst. "Couple economic concerns with the cacophony of earnings disappointments and weak corporate outlooks, global unres...

Bidenomics: Housing costs hitting record highs, Harvard University report says

By Kennedy Hayes  | Fox Business The high cost of housing is making it hard for many Americans to make ends meet, and monthly rents are rising faster than wages, according to a new housing report from Harvard University. The Joint Centers for Housing Studies of Harvard University report was released in June. The annual report says housing deals are hard to come by right now. Daniel McCue, the senior researcher on the Harvard University Housing Report, says home prices are steep right now and there is not enough supply. READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX BUSINESS
