Ric Grenell under consideration to be Trump’s point man on Ukraine

By  Chris Pandolfo | Fox News Richard "Ric" Grenell, the former acting director of National Intelligence in President-elect Trump's first administration, is reportedly under consideration to be special envoy for the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Currently, there is no special envoy responsible for bringing an end to the war in Eastern Europe. Trump is strongly considering whether to create the role, Reuters reported, citing four sources familiar with the president's deliberations. If he does create the new position, Grenell is said to be a leading candidate, though Trump may select someone else, the sources told Reuters. There is also no guarantee that Grenell would accept the position if it were offered to him, the sources reportedly said.  READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

President-elect Trump announces Pam Bondi as his new pick for U.S. attorney general

By Greg Wehner  | Fox News President-elect Trump announced Thursday evening that he's nominating former attorney general of Florida Pam Bondi as the next attorney general of the United States. Trump's latest Cabinet pick replaces Matt Gaetz, the former Florida representative and nominee for attorney general, who on Thursday withdrew as Trump's pick for the top prosecutor after the "distraction" his nomination had caused due to a swirl of allegations about paying underage women for sex.  "Pam was a prosecutor for nearly 20 years, where she was very tough on Violent Criminals, and made the streets safe for Florida Families," Trump wrote in his announcement. "Then, as Florida’s first female Attorney General, she worked to stop the trafficking of deadly drugs, and reduce the...

Jussie Smollett conviction overturned by Illinois Supreme Court

By Lauryn Overhultz  | Fox News The Illinois Supreme Court overturned Jussie Smollett's hate crime hoax conviction Thursday. "Today we resolve a question about the State’s responsibility to honor the agreements it makes with defendants," the court wrote in documents obtained by Fox News Digital. "Specifically, we address whether a dismissal of a case by nolle prosequi allows the State to bring a second prosecution when the dismissal was entered as part of an agreement with the defendant and the defendant has performed his part of the bargain. We hold that a second prosecution under these circumstances is a due process violation, and we therefore reverse defendant’s conviction." Smollett, who is Black and gay, reported to Chicago police that he was the victim of a ra...

Prosecutors request stay in Trump NY case until 2029 as defense plans motion for dismissal ‘once and for all’

By Brooke Singman  | Fox News New York prosecutors are requesting a stay until at least 2029 in New York v. Trump, as the president's defense attorneys prepare to move to dismiss the case entirely.   Prosecutors wrote a letter to Judge Juan Merchan on Tuesday, who agreed last week to grant a stay on all deadlines associated with the conviction proceedings against Trump in the final months before he takes office.  Merchan granted the request, which issues a stay on all deadlines, including the Nov. 26 sentencing date, to consider the effect of his election as president. Potential Trump education secretary calls for DOE to be ‘shut down’: ‘Put parents back in the driver’s seat’

By Taylor Penley  | Fox News Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice has been frequently floated as a potential pick for President-elect Donald Trump's education secretary, but the same agency she could lead is also one she says should be abolished. "Parents are the number one driver of student success. Parents were put in the back seat when it came to their kids' education. We need to put them in the driver's seat, and I know that President Trump believes that, too," Justice said Monday on "Fox & Friends First." "Ultimately, I believe the Department of Education should be shut down. Since it was created, we have only seen plummeting achievement scores, teachers unions having more influence on our kids' education and more global interference in our kids' education. It...

Trump and his entourage included Elon Musk, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., Donald Trump Jr. and, perhaps most surprisingly, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s pick for Health and Human Services secretary. Kennedy, an outspoken critic of processed foods, was pictured with McDonald’s food and a Coca-Cola.
