Report: Kamala Harris names Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her VP running mate

Tim Walz as her running mate as she faces off against former President Trump in the 2024 election, according to the Associated Press. The naming of the 60-year-old Walz was not a shocker, as his name was instantly thought to be in contention in the two weeks since Harris succeeded President Biden as the party's standard-bearer. The 60-year-old Walz, a former congressman, is in his second term as governor of Minnesota, a state that Democrats have reliably won in presidential elections for decades but that the Trump campaign has aimed at flipping this cycle. Nerozzi | Fox News Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich is free, according to the Wall Street Journal.  Gershkovich, American veteran Paul Whelan and others are expected to be in U.S. custody soon as part of a massive swap of political prisoners involving the United States and Russia, a senior administration official confirmed to Fox News on Thursday morning. Gershkovich, 32, was arrested on March 29, 2023, while reporting on a trip to the Ural Mountains city of Yekaterinburg and accused of espionage. The Biden administration declared him "wrongfully detained" and The Wall Street Journal and U.S. government both emphatically denied the charges, calling them absurd on their face. By Danielle Wallace , Brie Stimson | Fox News Anti-Israel demonstrators descended on Washington, D.C., on Wednesday ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress.  One demonstrator, whose face was covered, was spotted by Fox News carrying what appeared to be the flag of the terrorist group Hamas. Others were heard shouting "allahu Akbar."  Fox News estimates that a few hundred protesters had gathered on Pennsylvania Avenue and 3rd Street, outside the Gallery of Art.
