Rubio announces closure of State Department effort that ‘was supposed to be dead already’

By Alex Nitzberg | Fox News Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced the closure of a State Department effort that he accused of spending millions on censorship. "I am announcing the closure of the State Department’s Counter Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (R/FIMI), formerly known as the Global Engagement Center (GEC)," Rubio said in a statement issued on Wednesday. "Under the previous administration, this office, which cost taxpayers more than $50 million per year, spent millions of dollars to actively silence and censor the voices of Americans they were supposed to be serving," Rubio asserted. Federal Judge James Boasberg finds probable cause to hold Trump in contempt over deportation flights

By Breanne Deppisch , David Spunt | Fox News A federal judge said Wednesday that he has found probable cause to hold the Trump administration in contempt for failing to return two planes deporting migrants to El Salvador last month, a major update that comes as tensions between the Trump administration and the judiciary have reached a fever pitch. In the 48-page opinion, Judge Boasberg said the court had ultimately determined that the Trump administration’s actions on the March 15 deportation flights, which took place after he issued a bench ruling ordering their immediate return to U.S. soil, demonstrate a "willful disregard" for the court that is sufficient for the government to be found in criminal contempt." Should they fail to answer his questions by April 23, he sa...

Democrat Rep. Zokaie compares concerned parents to KKK during hearing on HB25-1312

By Jamie Joseph | Fox News A Colorado Democrat likened parent groups to "the KKK" during an hours-long committee hearing for a controversial bill that could see parents accused of "coercive control" in custody fights for using a trans child's "deadname." "I really am curious about how much stakeholdering went on both sides of the issue, and not just one side," Republican state Rep. Jarvis Caldwell said during the hearing, which began Monday night and ran into early Tuesday. "I'm curious with if the businesses in the community were included in these and if parent groups that are not part of the LGBT community if they were involved." Later during the House Judiciary hearing, Democrat state Rep. Yara Zokaie said the committee that night had "heard a lot about stak...

By Paul Steinhauser  | Fox News MADISON, WI - Voters head to the polls in Wisconsin on Tuesday to decide if conservatives or liberals will control the majority on the key Midwestern battleground state's supreme court, which is likely to rule on crucial issues including congressional redistricting, voting and labor rights, and abortion. However, with a massive infusion of money from Democrat and Republican-aligned groups from outside Wisconsin - which turned the race into the most expensive judicial election in the nation's history - the contest has turned into a referendum on President Donald Trump's sweeping and controversial moves during the opening months of his second tour of duty in the White House. Also, front and center in the electoral showdown is ...

Atlantic reporter publishes more texts about attack on Houthi targets

By Greg Norman  | Fox News The Atlantic published Wednesday what it described as the "attack plans" at the center of a Signal text chain leak involving senior officials in the Trump administration. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and national security advisor Mike Waltz have faced calls to resign following revelations that the outlet's editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg was inadvertently added to a private group chat earlier this month in which Hegseth, Waltz, Vice President JD Vance and other top administration officials reportedly discussed impending airstrikes on Yemen's Houthi rebels. Hegseth has said "nobody was texting war plans" and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard vowed during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing Tuesday that there was "no classifi...

GOP rep forced to remove 2A sticker from laptop: ‘Offensive’

By Michael Lee  | Fox News A Republican lawmaker from Colorado expressed shock at being told by Democratic colleagues that he had to remove a sticker supporting the Second Amendment from his laptop while in the state's House chamber. "I had to cover up this, they couldn't stand my sticker," Colorado Republican state Rep. Ken DeGraaf said during remarks on the state's House floor, pointing to paper covering up a sticker in support of the Second Amendment on a laptop he carried with him to the chamber. "It said ‘shall not be infringed’ and signed ‘2-A’ and that was considered offensive, which I understand would be offensive to this bill," he continued. READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS
