West: The false gods of Leftism

By Lt. Col. Allen West (ret.) | Commentary, American Civil Rights Union You often hear leftists rant on about the “separation of church and state,” with the goal being the separation of America’s Judeo-Christian faith heritage from itself. There can be no doubt that faith heritage played an integral part in the founding of our Constitutional Republic. What Thomas Jefferson really meant when he wrote that letter to the Danbury Baptist Convention of Connecticut was to calm any concerns that the Baptists had that the Presbyterians would be the official “religion” of America. Jefferson knew very well of the lesson from England of King Henry VIII. Who, when denied a divorce by the Catholic Church, created his very own religion and persecuted those who did not worship him as both Head of Stat...

Warning signs were there that Assad’s grip in Syria was faltering

By Mike Brest | Colorado Politics via The Washington Examiner There were indications that Bashar Assad's regime could struggle to maintain its grip on power in Syria — but the military assault that ended his family's more than 50-year reign happened much faster than some experts expected. Assad relied on allies to maintain power during the civil war that commenced more than a decade ago, but when his forces were faced with a new threat starting in late November, they were on their own. Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia did not come to his aid, though Moscow did purportedly allow him to seek refuge there. The U.S. intelligence community often conducts assessments to determine a military's "will to fight," though it's not an exact science. Poor morale am...

Trump shooting task force says DHS, Secret Service haven’t produced docs on golf course incident

By Elizabeth Elkind  | Fox News The House Task Force investigating the assassination attempts on President-elect Trump's life has released its final report on Tuesday, detailing "preexisting conditions and leadership failures" that led to the deadly campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July. While the bipartisan panel was given ample information on that shooting, the report suggested requests for documents on the second attempt on Trump's life – this one at his Palm Beach golf course in September – were seemingly stonewalled. "The Task Force notes that as of the date of publication of this report, [the Department of Homeland Security], [U.S. Secret Service], FBI, and [Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives] have not produced any documents responsive to the Task...

DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas Announces Jobs Giveaway — for Migrants

By John Binder | Breitbart In the final weeks of President Joe Biden’s administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is announcing a jobs giveaway for newly arrived migrants with work permits. On Tuesday, Mayorkas announced a final rule from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that will allow millions of migrants, many of whom have been released into the U.S. interior by the Biden administration, to keep their work permits for up to 540 days when they seek a renewal. Migrants previously could renew their work permits for 180 days. For years, Democratic mayors had lobbied DHS to extend such automatic employment authorization for migrants. The rule will go into effect on Jan. 13, 2025. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBAR...

‘A fragrance your enemies can’t resist’: ‘Fight, fight, fight’ Trump fragrance uses Jill Biden to sell it

By Aimee Picchi | CBS Colorado President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday used a photo of himself sitting next to first lady Jill Biden to announce a new line of fragrances on his Truth Social app, with the caption, "A fragrance your enemies can't resist!" The fragrance line, called "Fight, Fight, Fight," includes cologne for men and a perfume for women, each retailing for $199. Trump is also selling bundles of two or more fragrances, with the second item 50% off, according to the GetTrumpFragrances.com website. The photo of Jill Biden seated near Trump was taken Dec. 7 when they, along with dozens of heads of state and officials, attended the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, five years after the landmark suffered a massive fire that toppled its spire. The image captures th...

RFK, Jr., could do what Michelle Obama actually promised: Healthy lunches for low-income students

By  Dr. Naydeen González De Jesús | Daily Wire On February 9, 2010, Michelle Obama unveiled her ambitious initiative to combat childhood obesity through her “Let’s Move!” campaign, aiming to empower children and reduce obesity rates. The CDC reports that 1 in 5 children in the U.S. suffer from obesity which prompted President Obama to pass the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. This law aimed to promote healthier diets with mandated minimum servings of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while limiting sugar, fat, and sodium. However, the program fell short of its goals and inadvertently exacerbated the problems it sought to address. The focus of her campaign was not only to ensure that our nation’s children are being fed but also fed healthy food throug...

Matt Gaetz to anchor One America News Network show

By Jenny Goldsberry | Washington Examiner Former Rep. Matt Gaetz is taking on an anchor role with One America News Network. The Matt Gaetz Show will be coming soon, according to OAN’s website. This comes after Gaetz resigned from the House of Representatives last month when President-elect Donald Trump named Gaetz as his first choice to be the next attorney general. The congressman withdrew himself from consideration eight days later when it became clear he wouldn’t have support from at least 51 senators to be confirmed in the role. OAN is broadcast via 85 stations across the country in addition to its own streaming app. Its cast of anchors was relatively unknown before joining the network. OAN originally existed among DirecTV’s channels until AT&T, its par...

FBI director Wray prepares to resign, does not want to be fired

By Wendell Husebo | Breitbart FBI Director Christopher Wray does not want to be fired and will resign before President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office, sources inside the bureau who are familiar with the director’s thinking told the Washington Times. Trump, who originally hired Wray but grew dissatisfied with him after years of weaponizing the bureau, such as raiding Mar-a-Lago, recently nominated Kash Patel as a replacement. Wray is among President Joe Biden’s allies that Democrat and media supporters believe should receive a preemptive pardon. White House lawyers are studying pardons, reports indicate, which would appear to project an admission of guilt. READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART

Trump says he’ll act on ‘first day’ on Jan. 6 defendants, but perhaps not by pardon

By Scott MacFarlane | CBS Colorado President-elect Donald Trump plans to act on the "first day" of his presidency on the cases of some Jan. 6 defendants and said he believes the House members on the select Jan. 6 committee who investigated the 2021 Capitol riot, including Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson and former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, "should go to jail." In an interview that aired Sunday on NBC News' "Meet the Press," Trump told host Kristen Welker he would not direct the FBI director or attorney general to do so, but said "I think they'll have to look at that." The president-elect was also pressed on whether he would pardon some or all of the Capitol riot defendants. He indicated he would not issue a universal blanket pardon: "We're going to look at independent cases."...
