DOJ may force Google to sell Chrome, Android to break up online search monopoly

By David Krayden  | The Post Millennial The US Department of Justice (DOJ) is contemplating the breakup of Google as an online search monopoly and forcing it to sell Chrome and Android. A federal judge would have to initiate the suit against the big tech firm. In a Tuesday court filing, the DOJ also said the judge could extract from Google the foundational data that it uses to operate the best known search engine in the world as well as its new artificial intelligence options, according to the AP. "For more than a decade, Google has controlled the most popular distribution channels, leaving rivals with little-to-no incentive to compete for users," the DOJ’s antitrust section wrote in the filing. "Fully remedying these harms requires not only ending Google's control of distri...

Kamala Harris on what she would do different from Biden: ‘There is not a thing that comes to mind’

By Pam Key | Breitbart Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris said Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” that she would do nothing differently than President Joe Biden. Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “As Vice President you worked closely with President Biden for almost four years. He was here on our show and he said there wasn’t a single thing that he did that you could not do. What do you think would be the biggest specific difference between your presidency and a Biden presidency?” Harris said, “We’re two different people but we have a lot of shared life experiences, for example, the way we fell about our family and parents and so on, but we’re also different people. I will bring those sensibilities to how I lead.” READ THE FULL STORY AT BREITBART...

Hurricane Milton makes landfall, slamming into Florida with destructive winds, catastrophic storm surge

By Greg Norman , Anders Hagstrom , Bradford Betz , Gabriele Regalbuto , Stepheny Price , Landon Mion  | Fox News More than 3 million people are without power and more than 100 rescue missions are underway Thursday in Florida after Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key last night as a Category 3 storm, generating tornadoes that left 4 people dead in St. Lucie County. Milton, which is a Category 1 storm at the time of this report, has currently moved off Florida's east coast after lashing the state with destructive winds and dangerous flooding. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that 48 people have been rescued so far and that "hundreds of rescuers [are] engaged in over 125 active missions in 26 different counties" this morning. Foley: The Second Gentleman is no gentleman, contrary to narrative

By Emma Foley, Commentary  | The Conservateur In the home stretch of the 2024 race, Kamala Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, has been accused of abusing a former lover. His alleged problematic past undermines the media narrative that Emhoff is the torchbearer of a reformed masculinity. It also exposes Harris’s fraudulence as a supposed champion of women.  Emhoff’s biggest flaw is that he shamelessly adores his wife, if you ask those who get their news from Saturday Night Live. Actors Andy Samberg and Maya Rudolph did a skit portraying the two in puppy love. The media consensus? Doug’s a “wife guy.” He can’t help being his goofy-Gen X-husband-self. Goals! The feminists go further, saying Emhoff is a “progressive sex symbol.” Emhoff served a...

Biden-Harris admin ‘taking advice from foreign governments’ on policing speech, lawmaker charges

By Fred Lucas | Fox News A newly released tranche of documents shows senior Biden-Harris administration officials gained pointers from British "disinformation" officials about partnering with social media companies and establishing an all-of-government effort for fighting disfavored content that includes elections and COVID-19.   The revelation, which comes as Congress investigates potential censorship efforts by the executive branch in the lead-up to the 2024 election, has prompted a House Republican to propose legislation to prevent U.S. tax money going to countries that regulate online speech. The National Security Council held a private meeting with the U.K. government’s Counter Disinformation Unit on Aug. 21, 2021. The Counter Disinformation Unit is part of the...

Biden-Harris Administration has no clue how many unvetted aliens it let in

By Helen Raleigh  | The Federalist The IG report is the latest evidence that America’s illegal immigration crisis is the direct result of Biden and Harris’ policies. The inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security issued a new report revealing that the Biden-Harris administration has endangered Americans’ safety by intentionally welcoming millions of illegal immigrants into the U.S. without properly vetting them. The importance of these findings cannot be ignored, as they directly affect our personal and national security. The redacted report’s long title is also its conclusion: “CBP, ICE, and TSA Did Not Fully Assess Risks Associated with Releasing Noncitizens without Identification into the United States and Allowing Them to Travel on Domestic Flights.” Among the th...

‘Zuckerbucks’ hit small towns as tech group finances more election offices

By Fred Lucas  | The Daily Signal The Center for Tech and Civic Life—which four years ago doled out controversial election grants that became known as “Zuckerbucks”—recently notified White Pine County, Nevada, of a $20,000 grant.  The county, in a major battleground state going into the Nov. 5 presidential election, has a population of about 9,000 and is part of what the Left-aligned center calls its Rural and Nonmetro Election Infrastructure Grant Program.  The notification to White Pine County came with a message from Tiana Epps-Johnson, CTCL’s executive director, and an agreement on how the $20,000 grant could be used.  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE DAILY SIGNAL

Biden undermines Harris claim Ron DeSantis is politicizing hurricane response: ‘Doing a great job’

By Alec Schemmel | Fox News President Joe Biden praised GOP Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for being "cooperative" and doing a "great job" in his response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, despite Vice President Kamala Harris slamming DeSantis for "playing political games" instead of doing his job in response to the storms. NBC News reported Monday that DeSantis was denying phone calls from Harris' team. "People are in desperate need of support right now and playing political games with this moment, in these crisis situations, these are the height of emergency situations, it's just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish," Harris told reporters Monday.  Meanwhile, on Tuesday, President Joe Biden's opinion about the GOP Florida governor's response to Hurricane Helene and ...

Barron Trump was denied a bank account due to ‘cancel mob,’ mom Melania claims: ‘Civil rights violations’

By Emily Crane  | New York Post Former President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, was denied a new bank account because of a political “cancel mob,” his mother, Melania, claimed of “serious concerns about civil rights violations.” The former first lady said her son, who is now 18, was told he couldn’t open the account at her preferred financial institution in the weeks following the Trumps leaving the White House in early 2021. “I was shocked and dismayed to learn that my long-time bank decided to terminate my account and deny my son the opportunity to open a new one,” Melania wrote in her new memoir, “Melania.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Wavering Floridians told to get moving as Hurricane Milton closes in

By Simon Kent | Breitbart Just go. That was the message Wednesday morning for Floridians still prepared to defy orders to evacuate ahead of the landfall of Hurricane Milton as officials warned stay-behinds they face grim survival odds. Bumper-to-bumper traffic still chokes roads leading out of Tampa as some 17 percent of Florida’s nearly 8,000 gas stations had run out of fuel, according to fuel markets tracker GasBuddy. The gridlock is so bad from the evacuations in these areas, such as I-75, that the state is opening the shoulders for vehicles to use. AP reports the Tampa Bay area, home to more than 3.3 million people, faced the possibility of widespread destruction after avoiding direct hits from major hurricanes for upwards of 100 years.
