In another flip-flop, when Biden was running Dems wanted closed-mic, but now Harris seeks open-mic

By Olivia Land | Washington Examiner A lot has changed since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and was replaced as Democratic nominee by Vice President Kamala Harris. The latest change: Back when Biden was the presumptive nominee, Democrats did not want to be interrupted by former President Donald Trump during a debate. Now under Harris, they do. That’s the main takeaway from Monday’s back-and-forth about whether the first presidential debate should be open-mic night. The original debate ground rules banned interruptions and crosstalk to the point that the networks could turn off the microphone of any candidate who tried to go beyond their allotted speaking time. House GOP navigates multiple investigations into Trump assassination attempt

By Aubrie Spady | Politco Speaker Mike Johnson quickly moved last month to launch a bipartisan investigation into the assassination attempt against Donald Trump. House conservatives made it clear on Monday that they have their own ideas. Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries each appointed members late last month to a task force that is aimed at identifying failures that led to the shooting and preventing such an incident from happening again. The panel was unanimously approved by House lawmakers, has subpoena power and effectively took over investigations related to the assassination attempt, a way to theoretically prevent multiple unwieldy probes. By Aubrie Spady | Fox News Democrat-turned Independent Tulsi Gabbard, the former congresswoman from Hawaii, has endorsed former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race against Vice President Kamala Harris. "We as Americans must stand together to reject this anti-freedom culture of political retaliation and abuse of power. We can't allow our country to be destroyed by politicians who will put their own power ahead of the interests of the American people, our freedom, and our future," Gabbard said at the National Guard conference in Detroit on Monday. Gabbard's endorsement came on the third anniversary of the suicide bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members following the chaotic Afghanistan War withdrawal. READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Meta CEO admits Biden-Harris admin pressured company to censor Americans

By Greg Wehner | Fox Business Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a letter on Monday that his company, Facebook, was pressured by the Biden-Harris administration to censor Americans, particularly regarding COVID-19 content. Along with documents, the Meta CEO said, the company has provided a dozen employees to be available for transcribed interviews, stressing Meta’s cooperation with the investigation. Another major retail chain drops Pride events and DEI initiatives, joining a growing number of U.S. brands.

By James Reinl | Daily Mail The home improvement retailer Lowe's has become the latest brand to scrap its support for Pride events and other diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) schemes in the face of consumer boycotts. Lowe's will stop cooperating with the Human Rights Campaign, a major LGBTQ group, and will no longer separate employees into so-called 'resource groups' based on race, religion or sexual identities, according to an internal memo. The company will also stop sponsoring parades, festivals, or fairs, and will instead focus on events related to its business, such as affordable housing and skilled trades education, says the memo. Olohan: Harris plays coy on child gender transitions, but far-left groups endorsing child sex changes have her back

By Mary Margaret Olohan | Daily Signal Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has avoided addressing whether she supports transgender surgeries for minors—a far-left position that most Americans do not support. Yet a number of LGBTQ groups that endorse attempted gender transition procedures for children are eagerly backing Harris and her running mate Tim Walz. A few of these top LGBTQ groups are the American Civil Liberties Union, GLAAD, Advocates for Trans Equality, and the Human Rights Campaign. These organizations, which did not respond to requests for comment, warn against “anti-LGBTQ” legislation, citing fears that Republican politicians will protect children from transgender procedures, classroom discussions of gender and sexuality, and inappropriate drag perf...

ABC News Host Tried to Spin Kamala’s Health Care Policy in Front of This GOP Senator. It Got Messy.

By Matt Vespa | Town Hall ABC News host Jonathan Karl tried to sell Sen. Tom Cotton some pure snake oil about Kamala Harris, but the Arkansas Republican wasn’t having any of it. Karl got dragged for trying to spread fake news about the vice president’s agenda, which the media is desperately trying to rework as a moderate plan for our nation’s future. Cotton said that Harris wants to eliminate private health care plans, which Karl said isn’t true.  Cotton then ran a clinic on Harris, who hasn’t disavowed this part of her 2020 platform. Also, he pointed out in the previous interview that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) carried an aura of disappointment that Harris was trying to moderate her positions instead of running on a hardcore communist agenda that we all know she has in store for the...

Secret Service ending protection for RFK Jr.

By Joe Marino and Ryan King | New York Post The Secret Service has ended its protection of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after the political scion suspended his presidential campaign. President Biden, 81, had instructed the protective agency to provide security for Kennedy, 70, last month after the failed assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, 78. Kennedy had publicly and privately lobbied for Secret Service protection for months, citing various security scares and suggesting that political motivations were behind the delay in his getting it. At one point, Kennedy’s legal team claimed to have received evidence of 34 instances of threats or concerning screeds against him, Newsweek reported. Kennedy’s uncle President John F. Kennedy and father Bobby K...
