Boeing whistleblower found dead days after testifying against company

By Elina Tarkazikis | Denver7 A Boeing whistleblower who raised concerns about the company's production standards was found dead days after testifying against the company. Sixty-two-year-old John Barnett of Louisiana had worked for Boeing for 32 years before retiring in 2017 because of his health, according to the BBC. In the lead-up to his death, he had been giving evidence in a whistleblower lawsuit against the aircraft giant. The Charleston County Coroner's Office in South Carolina confirmed to several news outlets that Barnett died on March 9 of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was found dead in his truck in a hotel parking lot. READ THE FULL STORY AT DENVER7

Trump Secret Service driver refutes ‘third-hand’ claim J6 committee relied upon from star witness

By Zachary Stieber | The Epoch Times The Secret Service agent who was driving the SUV with then-President Donald Trump inside on Jan. 6, 2021, refuted the claim that President Trump grabbed for the wheel of the vehicle, according to a U.S. House of Representatives report issued on March 11. The agent, who is not being identified by name by lawmakers, told a House panel that he “did not see him reach.” President Trump “never grabbed the steering wheel,” the agent said. “I didn’t see him lunge to try to get into the front seat at all.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE EPOCH TIMES

They’re just using a different tool to control water now

By GREG WALCHER | GregWalcher.com There are at least 25 different types of wrenches commonly found in toolboxes. There are box-end, open-end, combination, and crescent wrenches. For particular jobs, one might reach for a lug wrench, basin wrench, oil filter wrench, or an impact, flare-nut, strap, chain, or torque wrench. Like most people, I also have socket wrenches, Allen wrenches, and pipe wrenches.   My dad taught us that every job is easier with the right tools, but he also knew there were several ways to accomplish any task. If one wrench won’t work, you try a different wrench. That is exactly what environmental industry lawyers, and their government allies, are doing in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Sackett v. EPA. That is the case in which the Court finally decl...

Donald Trump Jr. suggests MAGA is ‘the new Republican Party’

By Ryan King | New York Post Donald Trump Jr. mused that the “Make America Great Again” movement has replaced the old guard of the Republican Party. Trump Jr. hailed the recent leadership shakeup at the Republican National Committee backed by his father and argued that it illustrates the MAGA takeover. “I think the RNC is gonna be a little bit more of that old-school establishment. That Republican Party frankly no longer exists outside of the D.C. Beltway. But it takes a little while to make that transition,” Trump Jr. said on Newsmax’s “The Balance.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Among the statistic most meant to mislead, you have the Unemployment Rate

Source: Critically Thinking Substack One of the most monitored of all U.S. statistics — and one frequently used for the most political gain — is the Unemployment Rate. It sounds simple enough (and actually should be) but when bureaucrats and politicians got their hands on it, it’s merely a shadow of itself. In his most recent work, John Droz Jr. takes a look at how deceptive the Unemployment Rate can be, falling in line with Mark Twain's theory on the subject of "lies, damned lies and statistics." Tucker Carlson: Biden Address Was ‘Darkest And Most Un-American’ State Of The Union Ever

By TRISTAN JUSTICE | The Federalist Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson called President Joe Biden’s speech Thursday night “possibly the darkest and most un-American speech ever given by an American president.” In an immediate response to Biden’s State of the Union address, the former prime-time host charged the president with delivering a speech “entirely lacking in decency or generosity to his fellow Americans.” “In fact it wasn’t a speech,” Carlson said, “it was a rant.” Carlson also called Biden a “doddering old man” who “can’t remember when his son died or when he served as vice president.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE FEDERALIST

Cheney, J6 Committee suppressed exonerating evidence of Trump’s push for National Guard

By MOLLIE HEMINGWAY | The Federalist Former Rep. Liz Cheney’s January 6 Committee suppressed evidence that President Donald Trump pushed for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the nation’s capital, a previously hidden transcript obtained by The Federalist shows. Cheney and her committee falsely claimed they had “no evidence” to support Trump officials’ claims the White House had communicated its desire for 10,000 National Guard troops. In fact, an early transcribed interview conducted by the committee included precisely that evidence from a key source. The interview, which Cheney attended and personally participated in, was suppressed from public release until now. Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato’s first transcribed interview with the committee was conducted on January 2...

Biden’s State of the Union, a campaign speech — but not for the general election

By Kaylee McGhee White | Colorado Springs Gazette One would be forgiven for mistaking President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday night as a campaign speech. It was overtly political, with the president making more than a dozen references to his “predecessor” and current rival, former President Donald Trump, and several dozen more about the supposed “threats to democracy” Trump poses. But Biden’s reelection pitch wasn’t aimed at the general election voters he needs to win over. It was aimed at the left wing of the Democratic Party, which he also needs to win over if he wants to stay at the top of the party’s ticket. That’s why Biden had no problem touting the most radical parts of his agenda, such as his climate policies, which are dr...
