Catholic school shooting sparks hate crime probe and national outrage

By Randy DeSoto |The Western Journal Homeland Security Secretary Krisi Noem on Wednesday said the gunman who preyed on Minneapolis Catholic schoolchildren was a self-proclaimed transgender individual, while FBI Director Kash Patel said the incident will be investigated as domestic terrorism. Two children were killed and 17 people — 14 of them children — were wounded in an attack on Annunciation Church in Minneapolis on Wednesday. The shooter, who fired through the church’s windows on Annunciation School children within, later killed himself. “We have confirmation that the shooter at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, MN was a 23 year-old man, claiming to be transgender,” Noem posted on X. “This deranged monster targeted our most vulnerable: young childr...

Trump-era border policies slash cartel profits by over $1 billion

By Virginia Allen | The Daily Signal https://youtu.be/Z8d60Vm728o?feature=shared EL PASO, Texas—Since the start of 2025, border security measures have cost the Mexican cartels more than $1 billion, according to estimates by the El Paso Sector of the Border Patrol in Texas. “We’re hurting them in the pocketbook,” interim Border Patrol Chief for the El Paso Sector Walter Slosar tells The Daily Signal.   In recent years, Slosar says he can recall days when as many as 2,700 illegal aliens were arriving at the border daily, but now, Border Patrol is encountering about 40 illegal aliens a day in the El Paso Sector, which includes the two westernmost counties in Texas—Hudspeth and El Paso—and all of New Mexico.    The criminal cartels control much of the ...

Trans propaganda merch embraced by Democrat officials and activists calls to ‘protect trans kids’ and kill ‘fascists’

By Katie Daviscourt | The Post Millennial Calls for trans persons to arm themselves along with shirts showing weapons and emblazoned with the words "protect trans kids" have been cited. Democratic officials and leftist activists have been encouraging an apparent surge in trans violence across the nation, critics claim. One recurring element in discussions is apparel and stickers featuring the slogan "Protect Trans Kids," often paired with images of rifles, knives, or other weapons.  While some left-wing trans activists argue that such merchandise symbolizes a strong defense of transgender youth amid anti-child mutilation legislation, critics interpret them as implicit threats or calls to violence. Some of this merch also feature the lines, “Trans rights ... or else” paired with gu...

Doing the math on the cost of mail-in voting after 25 years

By Capt. Seth Keshel | Commentary, Captain K's Corner, Substack A statistical guide to the impacts of mail-in voting and why Democrats will make it their hill to die on. It appears, based on his recent statements, that President Trump is likely to take executive action targeting mail-in ballots and perhaps other deficiencies and disenfranchising items present in the American system of elections. As a former intelligence officer, my mind moves immediately to thinking like how the enemy thinks, and in this case, those enemies will be representatives of states that run quasi-elections tainted by mail-in balloting, which is always accompanied by ballot harvesting (whether legal or not), pushed out to an ever-expanding list of registrations polluted by Automatic Voter Registration. As ...

When Violence Targets Conservatives, the Media Looks Away

By C. J. Garbo | Guest Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice The nation is reeling after the tragic shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school. Two children are dead, more than a dozen are injured, and the community is shattered. Investigators have identified the shooter as Robin M. Westman, and disturbing evidence has already surfaced: weapons scrawled with political messages, including “Kill Donald Trump.” This fact should dominate headlines. Yet it will not. The corporate press will bury it, sanitize it, or frame it around mental illness and gun control. What they will not do is admit what the evidence shows: a politically motivated act of violence targeting conservatives. Why? Because the media knows the truth - that the Left has incubated more political violence than the Righ...

Fired for telling the truth: Whistleblower reveals driver’s license racket in Kentucky

New York Post A driver’s licensing office in Kentucky is in hot water after a whistleblower revealed a staggering inside scheme to issue drivers licenses and permits to illegal immigrants without them taking a test or going through a Homeland Security background check.According to a whistleblower complaint filed in April, two employees at one of the offices allegedly pocketed cash from undocumented drivers in exchange for a license by outfitting them with fake documents like birth certificates and social security cards. The scheme only started to unravel when a clerk at the center, Melissa Moorman, was approached by one of the employees to join in on the quote on quote “business venture,” which was charging undocumented drivers $200 a pop. CNN’s Harry Enten compares Democrats to Cracker Barrel flop as GOP surges in swing states

By Nick Givas | Commentary, The Western Journal CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten exposed how badly Democrats are doing in vital swing states on Monday, while lamenting the collapse of their brand, as key voters continue flocking to the Republican Party. Enten initially cited the “Cracker Barrel” rebranding nightmare, which saw the company change their classic logo by removing the “Old Timer” mascot known as Uncle Herschel. The restaurant had a change of heart Tuesday, following pressure from the public and President Donald Trump. Yet that didn’t stop Enten from using the analogy. “The Democratic brand right now has about the appeal with the American voter, as the Cracker Barrel rebrand has with the American consumers,” he said. “Bad, bad, bad! What are you doin’? ...

When gun rights depend on the judge: New study reveals disparities in DVPO cases

By Cory Gaines | Colorado Accountability Project Disparities in court orders for DVPO's Federal law prohibits the possession or purchase of firearms for certain people who have domestic violence protection orders (DVPO). Some states go further and require anyone who is subject to such an order to relinquish their firearms for the duration of the order. The study linked first below takes a look at the results of a Washington State law (which is one of the states which requires a respondent in a DVPO case to relinquish their firearms) and compares the outcomes of court cases to race. Quoting the abstract: "Historically, U.S. laws and institutions have privileged White men with firearm access over minoritized individuals, but little is known about whether racial disparities...
