US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick reveals 50 nations reached out to negotiate tariffs, warns ‘there is no postponing’

By Ronny Reyes | New York Post Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said about 50 nations have reached out to the US to discuss President Trump’s sweeping tariffs, though he said nothing will stop the levies from going forward. Defending the president’s economic plan on Sunday, Lutnick said the calls from foreign officials prove that “these countries know that they’ve been ripping us off,” suggesting there was no room for negotiations. “There is no postponing,” he told CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “They are definitely going to stay in place for days and weeks.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Trump says China ‘played it wrong’ with tariff retaliation, vows ‘my policies will never change’

By Diana Glebova | New York Post President Trump stood by his “Liberation Day” reciprocal tariff package Friday after China hit back with a 34% tariff on US goods, promising investors that his “policies will never change.” In a string of all-caps Truth Social posts, the president argued his duties will withstand the test of the markets, which plunged yet again in the first hour of Friday trading. “CHINA PLAYED IT WRONG, THEY PANICKED – THE ONE THING THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO DO!” he wrote. Feds capture migrant with Tren de Aragua ties who escaped from Colorado ICE detention center

By Jennie Taer | New York Post After two weeks on the run, an illegal migrant believed to have ties to the violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua who escaped from an federal immigration detention center in Colorado has been captured, the US Marshals said Tuesday. Geilond Vido-Romero, 24, was one of two Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees to escape from the Denver Contract Detention Facility in Aurora on March 18 during a power outage. The feds said not only is Vido-Romero “a suspected Tren de Aragua associate,” he has an active federal warrant for his escape and another for failing to appear in court after he allegedly committed a theft and resisted arrest. Vido-Romero was nabbed Tuesday while taking the bus in Denver, the US Marshals s...

Devine: FBI leaders blocked Hunter Biden laptop talk, logs reveal

By Miranda Devine | New York Post, Commentary New chat logs released by the House Judiciary Committee this week show the extraordinary lengths the FBI went to behind the scenes to shut down any discussion of Hunter Biden’s laptop in October 2020 after the New York Post broke the story.  The conversations, withheld by the FBI under Director Chris Wray, show that senior leadership issued an internal “gag order” on the laptop.  The FBI had been in possession of the abandoned MacBook Pro for 10 months by that stage, after computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac handed it over and warned of the potential crimes and national security concerns he had found. Russia says it won’t accept US cease-fire proposal ‘in its current form’ in sign Ukraine peace talks may have stalled

By Emily Crane | New York Post Russia is taking US proposals for a cease-fire in Ukraine “seriously” but can’t accept the deal as it stands, a senior Russian diplomat said Tuesday — suggesting peace talks between the two countries have stalled. “We take the models and solutions proposed by the Americans very seriously, but we can’t accept it all in its current form,” Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, according to state media. “As far as we can see, there is no place in them today for our main demand, namely to solve the problems related to the root causes of this conflict. It is completely absent, and that must be overcome,” Ryabkov said. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Rescued astronauts share first reactions to hearing they would stay in space longer than original timeline

By Emily Crane | New York Post US astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have revealed their first reactions after learning their week-long test flight was about to turn into a nine-month space odyssey. “My first thought was, ‘We just got to pivot, right?,'” Williams, 59, said in a sitdown interview with Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “I was like, ‘OK, let’s make the best of it.’ We planned, we trained that we’d be there for some part of a time, so we were ready to just jump into it and take on the tasks that were given to us.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Top MS-13 leader described as ‘worst of the worst’ arrested in Virginia during major Trump-backed operation

By Anthony Blair | New York Post US authorities arrested an illegal migrant and top MS-13 leader for the East Coast — and one of the top three in the entire country — in a major Trump-backed operation in Virginia that nabbed more than 340 criminals in the past month alone, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced. “This is what happens when you let good cops be cops,” FBI Director Kash Patel told a press conference, following the arrest of the suspected terrorist, a 24-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador, in a raid near Dale City, Prince William County on Thursday morning. Few details have yet been given about the joint operation, which involved the FBI, ICE, ATF, the Virginia State Police, and Prince William County Police Department. READ THE FULL STORY...

Greg Abbott hits back at Jasmine Crockett for mocking his wheelchair use: ‘Nothing to sell but hate’

By Anthony Blair | New York Post Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has hit back at left-wing Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) after she mocked his use of a wheelchair, claiming the Democrats have “nothing to sell but hate.” The firebrand Texas lawmaker was slammed after she branded Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels” on Saturday during a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles. Abbott, who has used a wheelchair since 1984 when a tree fell on his back in a freak accident, brushed aside Crockett’s nasty jibe in an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” late Tuesday. “It’s another day and another disaster by the Democrats. The reality is they have no vision, no policy. They have nothing to sell but hate, and Americans are not buying it,” he told host Sean Hannity. “It’s one reason why Texas is going ...

How Trump finally nailed illegal immigrant activist

By Jennie Taer | New York Post The Trump administration finally nabbed an immigration activist  who eluded federal agents for years and hid in churches where she was shielded from arrest. Jeanette Vizguerra, a 53-year-old Mexican mom of four, was once named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People for hiding from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in a Colorado church. After years of chasing her, ICE finally got its hands on Vizguerra Monday when she was in the parking lot of the Target store in Denver where she worked, according to Jordan Garcia, another immigrant rights activist, told the New York Times. What the JFK assassination files have revealed so far — including apparent KGB probe into Lee Harvey Oswald

By Richard Pollina | New York Post The long-awaited release of tens of thousands of files on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy has sparked a desperate search for new clues in the shocking crime more than 60 years later. The trove of previously classified pages spanning decades was made available by President Trump on the National Archives website Tuesday, with most seemingly only confirming information long known. However, some interesting snippets being pored over include documents shedding light on theories eyeing a “small clique” in the CIA being involved — as well as an apparent KGB investigation to find if assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was one of its agents.
