Cunningham: GOP moderates are learning the wrong lessons from 2024—and risk losing everything in 2026

By Joe Cunningham  | Redstate, Commentary This column really has two audiences. The first is moderate Republicans who are getting in the way of major fiscal reforms necessary to correct decades of financial irresponsibility. The second is Republican leadership who, in all honesty, are in a tough position trying to herd a bunch of unruly cats with personality disorders ranging from extreme anxiety to a desire to fight everything that moves.  Throughout this entire chaotic budget fight over the One Big Beautiful Bill, a dangerous delusion has begun creeping back into the Republican Party, especially among the moderate class and some in GOP leadership. It’s this belief they are getting once again that they won’t be able to win and stay in power if they don’t moderate on s...

NOAA issues first ‘Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch’ in 20 years

By Jennifer Van Laar  | RedState After days of observing "large sunspot groups" and "several strong flares, NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center issued a G4 Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch for Friday, May 10, through Sunday, May 12. A graphic circulating with information about the watch said, in part: At least five earth-directed coronal mass ejections were observed and expected to arrive as early as midday Friday, May 10, 2024, and persist through Sunday, May 12, 2024. Trump PAC creates virtual ‘Biden-Mart’ grocery store, with mind-blowing product price hikes since 2021

By Bob Hoge | Red State The Make America Great Again Inc. Trump super PAC has built a Biden grocery store website where you get to pick your items, and then it tells you what the final bill would have been under Trump.  Then it shocks the pants off you with what it now costs after three years plus of Bidenflation.  It's funny and sad at the same time; it's funny because it mocks Biden and his failed policies, but it's sad because those policies have hurt regular Americans. NYC firefighters forced to remove flag for 9/11 heroes after leftwing questioning, but backlash saves day

By Nick Arama | Red State We've seen a lot of bad stories this weekend that seem to have a common theme: people on the left seem on the march to try to stomp on everything that they don't like or find problematic, including things like the White House forbidding religious displays on an Easter egg design contest and proclaiming Easter Sunday "Transgender Visibility Day."  Now comes another story that's also a sign of leftists seemingly trying to stomp on something incredibly important.  Apparently, someone complained about a flag that firefighters had on one of their trucks at Ladder Company 11 in the East Village. The company had a flag with a red line in it honoring six of their brethren who were killed on 9/11 as they bravely tried to save people.  READ THE FULL STORY A...

White House forbids kids from using ‘religious’ symbols, themes in Easter Egg Contest

By Nick Arama | Red State Joe Biden is fond of talking about being a Catholic, but he seems to have forgotten the meaning of the holy day of Easter.  Perhaps to him, it's just that day when the Easter Bunny has to chase him around to prevent him from getting lost and saying something stupid.  This year, they're holding an Easter egg design contest for the children of National Guard members. The theme is supposed to be celebrating National Guard families. But, guess what is forbidden in the designs? Any religious mention of Easter on the egg.  READ THE FULL STORY AT RED STATE
