Only candidates with big money supporting them will be able to pay canvassers enough money to stand in front of stores to get a sufficient number of voters to sign each candidate’s petition.  That’s right! Only candidates with enough money supporting them will be able to pay canvassers. All candidates will need large amount of money to pay their way onto the ballot.  As a result, those candidates are beholding to those donors. Ever since Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802, there has been a decline in Christians involving themselves in political decisions. For example, Christians all over the state of Colorado are upset because Amendment 79 is on the ballot, yet what have they done to convince anyone that it shouldn’t be? Up to 50% of evangelical Christians are either not registered or don’t even vote, and yet they complain about the results. Rural communities like Grand County are pushing back against Proposition 127, which would prohibit the hunting of mountain lions, bobcats and lynx.  Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Grand County commissioners recently passed a formal resolution condemning the measure, warning of the far-reaching consequences for both wildlife management and the rural economy. Poll aggregators show Trump leading in battleground states, up big in “no toss up” map projection

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice With a dozen days remaining until Election Day, the race for the White House between former President Donald Trump, a Republican, and Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democrat, could not be closer, according to three poll aggregators. Harris holds a 0.2% edge in the national average at Real Clear Politics, but that is where the good news ends for her campaign. In the top battleground states of Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia, Trump is leading the polls and overall has a 0.9% lead in top battleground states, Real Clear Politics projects. Registered Republicans have returned about 28.3% of all ballots, Democrats about 31.9%

By BRIAN PORTER | Rocky Mountain Voice The first daily release of returned ballot-count from the office of Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold indicates Democrats have a 3.6% edge over Republicans in ballots returned. Democrats have returned 200,905 of the 630,782 ballots, or about 31.9%. Republicans, who make up about 28.0% of registrations, have cast 178,383 ballots, or about 28.3% of ballots returned. Democratic voters comprise about 26.1% of all voters statewide and Republicans comprise about 23.3%, meaning Democratic voters have voted at a rate outperforming registrations by 5.8% and Republicans by a rate outperforming registrations by about 5%.
