Judge won’t halt Trump, Musk federal worker buyout program

By Rebecca Beitsch | The Hill A federal judge declined to further pause a federal government buyout program, enabling the government to forge ahead with its “Fork in the Road” program. U.S. District Court Judge George O’Toole had extended the time frame for federal employees to decide whether to take the unusual offer, which gives employees eight months of pay and benefits if they wish to depart government. The vote was 54-46. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) joined all Republicans in voting in support of Bondi. Rubio’s confirmation vote passed with overwhelming bipartisan support, 99-0. Rubio also was able to cast a vote for himself.  “No one on this body can doubt that Marco Rubio is an intelligent man with remarkable understanding of American foreign policy and a very deep commitment to the American dream,” Sen. By  Alex Gangitano | The Hill President-elect Trump said Tuesday he wanted to create an “External Revenue Service” to collect tariffs and other revenue from foreign countries, comparing it to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which collects taxes from Americans. “For far too long, we have relied on taxing our Great People using the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
