USPS said the proposal formalizes election-mail practices it has recommended for years. The dispute has now moved to the appeals courts. Victor Marx Holds Narrow Lead as Colorado GOP Governor Race Nears Finish

By Ernest Luning | Colorado Politics Republican Victor Marx held on to a narrow lead Monday over state Sen. Barb Kirkmeyer as county clerks continued to count ballots in Colorado’s gubernatorial primary. Following an update posted at 3:30 p.m. by the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office, Marx had 206,477 votes to Kirkmeyer’s 204,527, for a lead of 1,950, or about 0.38% of the 518,490 votes tallied so far. State Rep. Scott Bottoms trailed in the three-way race with 107,486 votes. At present, the difference between Marx’s and Kirkmeyer’s totals is short of the number that would trigger a mandatory recount under Colorado law. Boebert is set for a matchup with Democrat Eileen Laubacher. Boebert originally representedColorado‘s 3rd Congressional District before she mounted a run in the 4th District after winning by just a few hundred votes in 2022. Boebert now sits in a seat rated “Solid Republican” by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. Boebert will face Laubacher, a retired Navy rear admiral and Colorado native, in November. Filed just four days before Colorado’s primary election, the suit argues Griswold’s implementation of the state’s overseas voter law runs headlong into the Colorado Constitution’s residency requirement. By Mike Krause | Complete Colorado DENVER — Colorado voters will have the chance this November to constitutionally guarantee that revenue intended for building and maintaining the state’s highways actually goes to fixing the roads, after proponents of Initiative 175 submitted enough valid signatures to earn a spot on the 2026 statewide ballot. The Colorado Secretary of State’s office on Tuesday announced that of the 189,355 total petition signatures submitted, 143,112  were deemed valid, easily clearing the 124,238 threshold required of all citizens’ initiatives. Because 175 amends the state Constitution, signatures from at least two percent of registered voters in each of Colorado’s 35 state senate districts were also required.
