"We're excited to share this," said Denise Beltran, Civil Engineer for Adams County. In June 2023, major flooding took out portions of the bridge at East 144th Avenue near North Converse Road. By CBS Colorado South Adams Fire posted a message on X that crews responded to a large warehouse fire that happened near 60th Avenue on Saturday. Initially, Commerce City police posted a message on X that there was a large warehouse fire happening in the 4300 block of 60th Avenue, which led to road closures.  South Adams Fire responded to the fire along with Adams County Fire, North Metro Fire, Platte Valley Ambulance, and Commerce City PD. Members-only auto race track on course for rural Adams County

It's the beginning of a members-only race track.    "It's a private racing facility," Nick Eagleson, Adams County senior strategic planner told CBS News Colorado.  "Adams County is growing -- obviously it is growing east. There's a lot of benefits because of the location and its proximity to DIA as well as downtown Denver," Eagleson said. Nine parcels of land purchased make up the 600-acre site. Investigation: South Adams County FD’s trips may be ‘violation of public trust’, says ethics expert

By Brian Maass | CBS News Colorado Top fire chiefs and administrators with the South Adams County Fire Department, along with some of their board members, have regularly taken their spouses along to winter conferences in Florida and fall conferences in Colorado's high country, billing taxpayers for their spouses' meals and other expenses, and extending their stays before and after conferences.  One Colorado ethics expert characterized this as "sounding more like a vacation than a business trip" and suggested, "they've been misusing funds."
