DHS Targets Lawyers Accused Of Filing False Asylum Claims

By: Breccan F. Thies | The Federalist ‘It is standard practice for immigration attorneys representing illegal aliens to assert that virtually every illegal alien is going to be persecuted or tortured in his or her home country.’ The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is starting to dismantle the legal industrial complex pushing for mass migration by cracking down on immigration lawyers who file fraudulent asylum claims. DHS directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Tuesday to develop policies to go after the attorneys who aid and abet illegals obtaining legal entry and status in the United States fraudulently, under a law already establishing penalties for document fraud. DHS said that ICE attorneys will have “greater authority to enforce the...

Supreme Court Petition Targets Washington Law Allowing Gender Treatments Without Parental Consent

By Greg Piper | Just the News SCOTUS must heed three justices' warnings that lower courts are avoiding "contentious constitutional questions" on parental rights in state-facilitated gender transitions by denying legal standing, wide coalition says. When runaway minors ask for puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgical interventions to resemble the opposite sex, Washington state not only refers them for potentially irreversible treatment but also does not require parental notification and consent, hides their "location and condition" and unilaterally decides "reunification" conditions, a lawsuit alleges. According to the historically overturned 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, however, parents cannot challenge the Evergreen State's laws in court bec...

Federal Civil Rights Complaint Accuses Cherry Creek Schools of Race-Based Discipline and Retaliation

By Shaina Cole | Contributing Writer, Rocky Mountain Voice Federal civil-rights complaints over equity policy are no longer confined to a single district in Colorado. Durango Public Schools is facing civil rights complaints, while a separate federal lawsuit challenges the state’s anti-discrimination law under House Bill 25-1312. A federal civil-rights complaint now puts Cherry Creek School District under scrutiny over allegations of race-based discrimination and retaliation. In its press release, America First Legal says Cherry Creek has “branded student misconduct ‘culturally appropriate’ and blocked discipline based on race,” claiming the district has replaced equal treatment with an unlawful double standard. Alleged Double Standard in Student Discipline ...

Election Integrity Battle Heats Up Over Proof-of-Citizenship Requirement

By: Fred Lucas | The Daily Signal Two-thirds of state attorneys general have jumped into the fray over a potential federal rule to require proof of citizenship for voting forms. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission, a four-member federal panel, will review a petition started by watchdog group America First Legal to add the requirement on the federal voter registration form. Now, 19 Democrat attorneys general—led by Rob Bonta of California—oppose such a rule, and 14 Republican attorneys general—led by Ken Paxton of Texas—support it. America First Legal said about 353,000 public comments were officially registered with the government on the issue, with the overwhelming majority in favor of the requirement. The comment period closed on Monday. “It’s imperative that only elig...

Texas Moves To Block California’s Gas Car Crackdown

By Alec Schemmel | Fox News Congress rescinded waivers in May that let California implement stricter emissions regulations than the federal government. The state of Texas is intervening in California's attempts to implement stricter vehicle emissions standards than those set by the federal government. After Congress and Trump revoked three waivers the Biden administration granted California, which allowed the state to set stricter vehicle emissions standards than those at the federal level, Newsom immediately sued and issued an executive order directing state agencies to continue pushing the heightened standards. California's attempt to circumvent Congress could impact other states, since provisions of the federal Clean Air Act allow them to adopt California's tougher emissions re...

By Shaina Cole | Contributing Writer, Rocky Mountain Voice America First Legal (AFL) has brought renewed attention to the termination of 18 National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants in 2025, sharing a detailed report in a thread posted on X on July 16. The group’s findings highlight a series of projects it characterizes as race-based and ideologically driven—grants funded during the Biden Administration and later canceled under new Trump Administration directives. https://twitter.com/america1stlegal/status/1945302705427099843?s=61 The AFL thread meticulously documents many of the terminated grants, spotlighting specific examples that have drawn significant scrutiny.  Among them is a $740,000 grant awarded to New York University to assess diversity effects in medical sch...

American Airlines ends DEI hiring practices after facing discrimination charges by conservative watchdog

By Yael Halon  | Fox Business American Airlines has reportedly agreed to end diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) hiring and employment practices, joining a growing list of major corporations to halt the controversial "woke" initiative. America First Legal (AFL), a conservative watchdog organization, announced Tuesday that American Airlines has agreed to "abandon discriminatory employment practices" after AFL filed a complaint against the carrier.  "The airline acknowledged that recruiting and hiring based on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) violates federal laws and equal employment opportunities," AFL said in a statement.
