Media Revives Gun Show Loophole Myth After DOJ Rule Changes

By Mark Chesnut | The Truth About Guns Gun-ban groups and anti-gun media outlets are still screeching about the landmark rulemaking package recently announced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The rulemaking package includes 34 policy changes that will, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), significantly change how the DOJ and ATF protect Second Amendment rights and regulate the firearm industry. All the changes resulted from the review ordered by President Trump in his executive order issued in February 2025, shortly after he took office. Notably, the final rules rescind the “stabilizing brace” and “engaged in the business” rules. Blanche also provided summary insights into proposed rules, including upda...

Colorado saw red flags in autism therapy billing and approved higher rates anyway

By Jen Schumann | Rocky Mountain Voice Federal auditors documented convicted staff working with autistic children. Colorado had no system to catch it. Every week, parents of autistic children in Colorado dropped their kids off with behavior therapists they trusted. What they didn't know—what the state never required anyone to verify—was whether those therapists had passed a background check. Many hadn't. Not because anyone failed a background check. Strict Colorado Firearm Laws Coincide with Record Homicide Increase

By Awr Hawkins | Breitbart News Data from Ammoland News indicates Colorado witnessed an exponential increase in firearm homicides after embracing a state-level gun control agenda in 2013. On February 10, 2013, less than two months after the heinous attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, Breitbart News noted that Colorado Democrats were declaring war on the Second Amendment. That war included bans on “high capacity” magazines, requirements for universal background checks, fees for existing background checks, and allowing victims of gun violence to sue firearm manufacturers for the misuse of weapons. Since then, Colorado Democrats’ push for gun control has continued unabated. Most recently, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) signed a semiautomatic ban that repres...

Colorado background checks surge as gun rights restrictions advance

By Sherrie Peif | Complete Colorado DENVER — Data put out by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reporting the number of background checks by the month, shows a trend in Colorado relating to gun rights restrictions being pushed through the legislature every year at this time. For years, Colorado residents appear to race to secure new gun purchases during the latter part of the legislative session when majority Democrats are known to rapidly advance their anti-gun agenda. To date the legislature has introduced 22 bills dealing with gun rights and restrictions in some fashion. Of those, 18 restrict rights, and many are awaiting the governor’s signature; four expanded rights, three of which have lost; and two others are relatively neutral and are awaiting hearings. The Nati...
