DHS Targets Lawyers Accused Of Filing False Asylum Claims

By: Breccan F. Thies | The Federalist ‘It is standard practice for immigration attorneys representing illegal aliens to assert that virtually every illegal alien is going to be persecuted or tortured in his or her home country.’ The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is starting to dismantle the legal industrial complex pushing for mass migration by cracking down on immigration lawyers who file fraudulent asylum claims. DHS directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Tuesday to develop policies to go after the attorneys who aid and abet illegals obtaining legal entry and status in the United States fraudulently, under a law already establishing penalties for document fraud. DHS said that ICE attorneys will have “greater authority to enforce the...

DOJ Moves To Strip Citizenship From 12 Accused Of Terrorism Fraud And Child Abuse

By Washington Examiner Staff | The Washington Examiner The Department of Justice announced on Friday efforts to denaturalize 12 individuals in the United States who are accused of misrepresenting their backgrounds during immigration proceedings. Among the 12 the DOJ is seeking to denaturalize is a man convicted of sexual assault against a child, committing terrorist activities while a member of al Qaeda, financing al Qaeda, and supporting global terrorists, among other charges and accusations. Each of the 12 is accused of concealing this information during their individual naturalization proceedings. “Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, a naturalized U.S. citizen’s citizenship may be revoked, and certificate of naturalization canceled, if the naturalizat...

Congress Ends Historic DHS Shutdown Without Resolving Immigration Fight

By Jennifer Scholtes and Katherine Tully-McManus | POLITICO The House acted after weeks of delay to fund most Homeland Security agencies, which have gone unfunded for 76 days. On the 76th day since Department of Homeland Security funding lapsed, Congress passed a bill Thursday restoring the flow of federal dollars to most of its agencies — without solving any of the policy disagreements that led to the record-breaking shutdown. The House approved by voice vote the partial DHS funding measure the Senate passed more than a month ago. President Donald Trump is expected to swiftly sign the bipartisan legislation, fully funding the Coast Guard, TSA, Secret Service, FEMA and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, along with other offices within DHS that don’...

DIGNITY Act debate: What’s in the bill raising concerns on amnesty and enforcement

By Brianna Lyman | Commentary, The Federalist I read the bill. And frankly, it might be worse than just amnesty. Despite President Donald Trump winning on the promise of “mass deportations,” a handful of spineless Republicans, alongside Democrats, are trying to push a mass amnesty act known as the DIGNIDAD Act — or, for English speakers, the DIGNITY Act. The legislation is billed as not being amnesty, but would give millions of illegal aliens — both so-called DREAMers/DACA and non-DREAMers/DACA — a legal status. But co-sponsor Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, R-Fla., insists it’s not amnesty, so much so that she’s screaming at people on X to “READ. THE. BILL. BEFORE. YOU. OPEN. YOUR. MOUTH.” So I read the bill. And frankly, it might be worse than just a...

The Plain Truth Behind Voter ID, the SAVE America Act and Election Integrity

By Russ Minary | Guest Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice “People who love sausage and respect the law should never watch either being made.” (Mark Twain) Congress has been dithering on a number of issues that impact legal, law-abiding US citizens and taxpayers. House and Senate reps from both parties are dragging their feet for various reasons. One issue under consideration is the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act or the SAVE America Act. If passed, this bill would require two major things: 1) that individuals must provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections, and 2) states must remove noncitizens from their official lists of eligible voters. FACT: Members of Congress routinely provide a valid form of ID before they can vote....

Going the wrong way: Colorado’s fentanyl deaths rise while the rest of the nation falls

By Shaina Cole | Contributing Writer, Rocky Mountain Voice While much of the country is finally beginning to turn the corner on fentanyl, Colorado is heading in the opposite direction. And the human cost is staggering. Colorado’s numbers are still moving up—synthetic opioid deaths have climbed 17 percent since December 2024. Elsewhere, the trend has started to turn. Across the country, overdose deaths have dropped 26.9 percent, according to the CDC, the steepest one-year decline of the crisis and the lowest levels since 2019. Colorado isn’t just behind. It stands apart. A March 2026 report from the Common Sense Institute puts that gap into focus: 1,620 excess deaths. In other words, that’s how many more Coloradans died from synthetic opioid overdoses between ...

American Citizen Now Leads Violent Mexican Cartel As Court Reviews Birthright Policy

By Steven Richards | Just the News A California-born U.S. citizen whose mother is a Mexican national and is reportedly part of a drug and money laundering cartel herself, has now taken the helm of Mexico’s most dangerous cartel as the Supreme Court is set to consider a Trump administration challenge to the very birthright policy that granted him that citizenship.  Multiple reports indicate that the 41-year-old Juan Carlos Valencia González, a dual U.S. and Mexican citizen, took charge of the notorious "Jalisco New Generation" cartel (CJNG) in the aftermath of a Mexican special forces raid that took out the cartel’s former boss, El Mencho, last month. The raid was the most direct action Mexican authorities have taken against the cartels in coordination with the United S...

Democrats Sound Alarm Over “Secret” ICE Facilities Publicly Listed Online

By: Natalie Chuck | Denver7 Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen is joining the chorus of Democratic leaders demanding answers from ICE. DENVER — Several Democratic politicians in Colorado are sounding the alarm over what they call "secret" ICE facilities after an online news outlet published an article last week. But are they really a secret? On Wednesday, Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen took to multiple social media platforms, expressing her concerns over "secret ICE holding cells." In her posts, Rep. Pettersen attributed her claims to the Colorado Times Recorder, which posted an article saying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained people for weeks at a time in "secretive" facilities. The Recorder's article was written an...

If you don’t defend it, you don’t own it: DeGette’s open border gamble

By Tom Anthony | Guest Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice The road to owning property resembles a superhighway to some and a Colorado jeep trail to others. To the Sioux it resembled a torn up mass of earth and buffalo chips; to the Comanche, four hooves and a mane. To me, who has come by it in fits, starts, dead ends, and reversals the road signs say: "Adverse possession," "Fence Out State," "Prescriptive Easement," "Permit Required," "Tax Lien Sale," and "Eminent Domain." In other words, nothing too simple about it. I see Congresswoman DeGette, married to a judge and who has held down the 1st Congressional seat in Colorado since 1997, now wants to abolish the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division of the federal government. In other words, dissolve the borders. T...

Trump Taps Oklahoma Sen Markwayne Mullin To Lead Homeland Security

By Virginia Allen | The Daily Signal Oklahoma Republican Sen. Markwayne Mullin said he was “humbled” to be President Donald Trump’s nominee as the next homeland security secretary, replacing Kristi Noem. “Humbling,” Mullin told press when asked of his first reaction to his nomination. “I had to call my dad … because it happened quick. I had to call my wife,” Mullin said, adding, “It’s just, you know, pretty humbling when you start thinking about it: A little kid from Westville, Oklahoma, gets to serve in the president’s Cabinet. That’s pretty neat.” When Mullin is confirmed, he says his priority will be to enforce the laws Congress has passed. “My focus is to keep the homeland secure. That’s going to be my focus, and we’re super excited about this op...
