By Scott McClallen | Townhall Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche suggested that the Department of Justice is investigating ActBlue after a New York Times report said that ActBlue might have lied to Congress about vetting foreign donations.  Blanche told TV show host Jesse Waters: "That's a priority of this administration and this DOJ. It's something that a lot of people have been worried about it for a very long time. You can rest assured that it includes the Department of Justice and it includes me." https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/2039864164244492298?s=20 READ THE FULL ARTICLE AT TOWNHALL

Grassroots or guided? Inside the ‘No Kings’ protests in Colorado

By Shaina Cole | Contributing Writer, Rocky Mountain Voice A large crowd gathered at the Colorado State Capitol on Saturday before marching through downtown Denver — the third installment of a movement its organizers describe on their national website as a grassroots uprising, "spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy." Denver was one of many across the state.  Demonstrators hold signs and flags during a “No Kings” protest in Berthoud, Colorado. No Kings has promoted itself consistently as decentralized and leaderless since it launched in 2025, built on the energy of ordinary Americans acting on their own. State records, financial filings, and an internal organizing document tell a more complicated...

From party switch to $6.4 million: Examining the rise of a CD4 candidate

By Shaina Cole | Contributing Writer, Rocky Mountain Voice In a matter of months, Eileen Laubacher went from a newly registered Democrat with no primary voting history to the best-funded candidate in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. That kind of political acceleration is unusual on its own. What makes it more striking is how many pieces had to move at once to get there. Her party registration, then and now In Jefferson County, Laubacher shows up as a registered Republican as far back as 1998. That didn’t change until January 2024, when she went unaffiliated, followed by a switch to Democrat two months later using her Ken Caryl address. She filed to run for Congress not long after. It would be more than four months before her voter registration was updated t...

Colorado Congresswoman Diana DeGette Named in Epstein Correspondence

By Hannah Metzger | Westword Emails between Jeffrey Epstein and Barbro Ehnbom suggest a disturbing partnership between the convicted sex offender and the Swedish businesswoman; from Ehnbom sending Epstein a photo of a “little blond girl” who she thinks would be of his “taste,” to offering up her “brainy and sensual” project manager to be Epstein’s “wife choice this year.” Amid their correspondence, a surprising name arises time and time again: Diana DeGette. The Colorado congresswoman’s name appears in over a dozen emails between Epstein and Ehnbom sent from 2009 to 2016, according to documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Though there is no evidence that DeGette ever communicated with Epstein directly, his emails ...

Report Claims Whitmer, Ossoff, and Booker Part of Massive Democrat Donation Laundering

By Jim Hoft, Bob Cushman | Commentary, The Gateway Pundit Guest post by Bob Cushman Once in a while, a reporter finds a story that challenges his or her ability to tell because it is so massive in terms of time and scope. He or she feels over-whelmed. This reporter feels that way, but let’s begin anyway. This story will attempt to show the reader the journey that this reporter has been on to discover what is most likely one of the largest money laundering evolutions in the history of this country. First Indications of Massive Money Laundering – 2019 Six years ago in October of 2019, I was downloading data from the FEC database, which by the way is quite easy to do. As I compiled the data I found that three Michigan Congresswomen had received about 75% of their t...

Allegations of Improper Spending Mount Against Bennet Campaign

By Marianne Goodland | Colorado Politics Three state campaign finance complaints have been filed against U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Denver, tied to his campaign for governor in 2026. A fourth is likely, sources have told Colorado Politics. The first two were filed on Sept. 24 and on Nov. 4 by Alyssa Holladay of Denver. Her political affiliation is unknown. The first two complaints were consolidated by the secretary of state’s elections division on Nov. 17. A response is due from the Bennet campaign on Dec. 3. The September complaint said Bennet is a candidate for both governor in 2026 and for the U.S. Senate in 2028 and he is actively fundraising and spending money for both races. Bennet, the complaint noted, filed a candidate affidavit for the Senate race on March 11, 2...

Legislative transparency takes a hit as video livestream decision stalls

By Cory Gaines | Commentary, Colorado Accountability Project Update-a-palooza on legislative livestreams and campaign finance complaints I wanted to update some stories I’ve been following before they get too stale (as you can see in today’s third post, I’ll be taking the rest of the week off). First, and simplest, is an update to whether or not the state legislature will continue what was a pilot program to livestream legislative committee hearings (video and audio instead of just audio). The Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition story linked first below offers more details, but the upshot is that the legislature is a decided “maybe” on whether or not to continue it. The livestreams, at least according to the article, are pretty popular but it seems the sticking point ...

AI Review Flags Hundreds of Reporting Gaps for Griswold and Weiser Campaigns

By: Marianne Goodland | The Denver Gazette Using artificial intelligence as analytical tool, a resident of Longmont has filed complaints against two prominent Colorado Democrats, alleging multiple campaign finance violations. The complaints are among a growing number of campaign finance allegations against individuals running for some of Colorado’s top jobs. What’s unique with the complaints is the use of AI as a data or analytical tool. On Nov. 20, Jeffrey Ethan Au Green of Longmont filed a complaint against Attorney General Phil Weiser, who is running for the Democratic nomination for governor against U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet. Secretary of State Jena Griswold, who is running to succeed Weiser, was the subject of a Nov. 2 complaint, also filed by Au Green. Four Democrats ar...

Media Contact: Ethan Augreen | Colorado Based News New Campaign-Finance Complaints Target Michael Bennet, Phil Weiser After Similar Complaint Against Jena Griswold Upheld by Attorney General’s Office DENVER, CO — November 20, 2025 — Colorado’s 2026 election landscape was shaken today as two major new campaign-finance complaints were filed against gubernatorial candidates Philip Weiser and Michael Bennet, bringing the statewide total to 3,674 alleged violations by three of the Colorado Democratic Party’s most prominent candidates. “No Colorado citizen has ever filed an evidence-based campaign finance action this large, covering this many statewide candidates, with this volume of documented violations. This is unprecedented in scale,” said Ethan Au...
