By Megan Palin | New York Post A “Jew-hater” who protested against Israel on Columbia University’s campus and contemplated setting a student on fire allegedly had a direct link to Hamas’ deadly al-Qassam Brigades militant group, The Post can reveal. Tarek Bazrouk — awaiting trial after being indicted on three federal hate crimes against Jewish people — was “a member of a chat group that received regular updates from Abu Obeida,” the official spokesperson for the brigades, according to allegations in federal documents. The accusation is the first evidence of an agitator receiving information directly from Hamas and taking action during protests on the university campus. Trump pulled $400 million of federal grants and contracts from the school earlier this month over concerns that the Ivy League school failed to protect Jewish students from radical anti-Israel demonstrations. Columbia was home to one of the largest anti-Israel protests last year, during which students set up a disruptive encampment on campus and called for the eradication of the Jewish state. One may recall the 1968 campus revolt, which ultimately took the University well over a decade to recover from. Twenty years after that ignominy, a new generation of malcontents tried to replicate the whole thing, in the course protesting… oh, who knows, Nicaragua, or Ronald Reagan or something. Today of course, we are treated with headlines of the campus again being shut down by swarms of leftist goons, this time in support of Hamas and their declared goal of wiping Israel off the face of the Earth.
