Colorado Gives Day Sets New Record as Residents Donate $56.5 Million to Local Nonprofits

By Jennifer McRae | CBS Colorado Colorado Gives Day received a record-setting $56.5 million in donations, with more people donating this year than last year. More than 102,835 people donated, which is 8,100 more than last year. On Wednesday, thousands of Colorado nonprofits were celebrating the outpouring of generosity. "Colorado Gives Day makes it so easy for people to support the causes they care about," said Kelly Dunkin, president and CEO of Colorado Gives Foundation, in a statement.
