Polis Responds To Peters Controversy With Taped Mouth Protest

By Robert Garrison | Denver7 Denver7 has been following the latest developments in the Tina Peters case. DENVER — Just a week after Democrats censured Gov. Jared Polis for granting Tina Peters clemency, the governor appeared during a party Zoom meeting Wednesday with tape over his mouth. The governor’s stunt during an internal party briefing was seemingly a reaction to last week’s 89.8% censure vote by the Democratic Party’s central committee, of which he is a member. Polis loses ground with Democrat base as cost-of-living fears rise

By Marissa Ventrelli | Colorado Politics Gov. Jared Polis is losing steam among members of his party, particularly progressive Democrats, according to a recent poll. Other statewide Democrats also saw their favorability ratings drop, though relatively stable compared to the governor’s numbers, the poll conducted by the Colorado Polling Institute in late March said. Forty-four percent of respondents said they view Polis favorably, down seven percentage points from last March. Nearly 50% of respondents said they had a negative view of the governor, whose final term ends this year. Polis’ favorability was strong within the Democratic Party last year, with 84% of members saying they viewed him favorably. That number has dropped to 72%, while Polis’ approval among Democrats...

Just: A 2000 warning from one of their own—fascism, corruption and the Democrat Party

By Bob Just | Commentary, WorldNetDaily Note from WND News Center Editor-in-Chief David Kupelian on July 25, 2025: Twenty-five years ago today, on July 25, 2000, WND published the following column by national talk-show host, Christian political activist and WND columnist Bob Just. A longtime Democrat (but the good kind), he laid out a vivid and prophetic description of exactly where the Democratic Party was heading – into hatred, corruption and a growing totalitarian obsession with party power at all costs. Though his intent was to persuade moderate Democrat leaders to fight back, his stern warning fell on deaf ears. Today, a quarter century later, Bob's predictions have all come true, as America is now embroiled in what is often described as a "cold civil war" – a description that firs...

Joondeph: The rise of Democrat theater kids isn’t politics—it’s performance art

By Dr. Brian C. Joondeph | Commentary, American Thinker Theater kids, especially those in politics, are described as those who are overly dramatic, prone to theatrical gestures, insincere, and unnecessarily showy. Google’s AI highlights several characteristics of theater kids: Performance – Politicians’ public personae are like acts on a stage, focusing on presentation and emotion rather than substance or real engagement with their constituents. Cringe factor – In trying to seem relatable, “one of the gang," they come off as inauthentic, forced, awkward, and embarrassing.  Lack of authenticity – The term “theater kid” is a pejorative, suggesting that the politician is insincere and only performing to advance their political agenda or goals. Negative connotation...

David Hogg says DNC in process of removing him as vice chairman

By Brady Knox | Washington Examiner Democratic National Committee Vice Chairman David Hogg accused the organization of trying to remove him from his position. On Monday, Hogg announced that the DNC commenced an effort to fast-track his removal as vice chairman. Hogg, an immediately controversial leader, found his position on shaky ground last month after he pledged his group Leaders We Deserve would primary Democratic members of Congress he perceived as ineffective, especially older ones. His comment was viewed as violating the DNC’s commitment to “neutrality” and, in his eyes, triggered an effort to remove him from within the organization. “Today, the DNC took its first steps to remove me from my position as Vice Chair At-Large,” Hogg said in a statement. “Whi...
