Mamdani is only 34, has never held a real job and openly claims to be a socialist. His Muslim faith was a major part of his campaign. In a city with a lot of Jewish citizens, he won with a majority of votes in a 3-way race. His campaign consisted mainly of a nice smile and a promise to make just about everything ‘free.’ Free transportation, groceries, housing, healthcare and childcare.
