DOGE flags $370B in waste: Social Security purges 12.3M phantom accounts aged 120+

By Hannah Knudsen | Breitbart Social Security has removed from its rolls 12.3 million individuals listed as 120 years old or older, according to the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The discrepancies in the Social Security figures and the alarming ages of some of the individuals listed have garnered national attention over the last several months. As a result, in March DOGE began to update the American people on the massive cleanup begun by Social Security. In a March 18 update, DOGE said Social Security had marked 3.2 million social security number holders aged 120 or older as deceased, warning that there was still more work to be done. https://twitter.com/DOGE/status/1901882509463630073 Over one month later, on April 24, DOGE provided another update, reve...

DOGE: Criminal aliens paroled by Biden took in $1.3 Million in taxpayer handouts

By M.D. Kittle | The Federalist While the left goes about its little “Hands Off!” temper-tantrum, their leaders have forced Americans to pick up the tab in government benefits for “paroled” illegal immigrants convicted of crimes — even suspected terrorists.  The Biden administration paid out at least  $1.3 million in Medicaid, student loans, tax refunds, and other federal government benefits and payments to thousands of paroled aliens with criminal or terrorist records, according to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). “Under the Biden administration, it was routine for [U.S.] Border Patrol to admit aliens into the United States with no legal status and minimal screening,” the government fat trimmer said Friday in an X post.  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE...

Elon Musk’s DOGE discovers millions in taxpayer dollars wasted on unemployment claims for ‘fake people’

By Patrick Reilly | New York Post Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) revealed in a bombshell finding that millions of dollars in unemployment claims have been going to “fake people” who haven’t even been born yet — some not even in this century. DOGE claimed it reviewed an initial survey of unemployment claims since 2020 that found that 9,700 people whose birth dates aren’t for another 15 years have claimed $69 million in benefits. In one absurd case, a person whose birthday was listed in the year 2154 claimed $41,000, according to an X post by the department. READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

DOGE sparks international government efficiency push

By Amac The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has taken Washington D.C. by storm, dominating the news cycle and discussions on Capitol Hill. But the impact of President Donald Trump’s waste-cutting initiative may soon be felt internationally as well. Reducing the size and power of government bureaucracies has become an increasingly popular trend among global conservatives in recent years, a phenomenon perhaps most colorfully displayed by Argentine President Javier Milei. During his captivating run for office in 2023, Milei famously used a chainsaw as a metaphor for what he planned to do to his country’s bloated bureaucracy. But while Milei became an internet sensation and invigorated conservatives, it is Trump’s war on “waste, fraud, and abuse” that is leading the way. As...

Rescued astronauts share first reactions to hearing they would stay in space longer than original timeline

By Emily Crane | New York Post US astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have revealed their first reactions after learning their week-long test flight was about to turn into a nine-month space odyssey. “My first thought was, ‘We just got to pivot, right?,'” Williams, 59, said in a sitdown interview with Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “I was like, ‘OK, let’s make the best of it.’ We planned, we trained that we’d be there for some part of a time, so we were ready to just jump into it and take on the tasks that were given to us.” READ THE FULL STORY AT THE NEW YORK POST

Stranded NASA astronauts depart ISS for Earth

By Simon Kent | Breitbart NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were on their way home Tuesday after being stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) orbital laboratory for 286 days. Their return is thanks in no small part to the combined drive and ambition of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk to “go get them.” The pair decided to accelerate the astronauts’ return and laid the blame for their troubles on the tardy Biden administration. Postal Service signs cost-cutting deal with DOGE

By  Lauren Irwin | The Hill The United States Postal Service said it has signed a deal with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to cut costs at the agency. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy told congressional leaders in a letter that he had signed an agreement with Elon Musk’s DOGE to cut jobs and spending at the agency that has long lost money. DeJoy said the organization has spent the past four years transforming from a “battered government bureaucracy” that experienced financial losses into a higher quality service, but it is still not achieving its goals.
