(KOAA) — Two officers with the Pueblo Police Department were injured after an explosive detonated while technicians were working to collect evidence. Both of the officers are with the department's Pueblo Metro Bomb Squad Explosive Ordinance Disposal (PMBS EOD) team. According to the city, around 10:35 a.m. on Thursday, PMBS EOD technicians and para-technicians were in the evidence-processing phase of an ongoing criminal investigation in the department's bomb range. EVERGREEN, Colo. — Seniors at Green Ridge Meadows Apartments in Evergreen reached out to Denver7, worried about a second Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) by Xcel Energy. Residents of the HUD-assisted property just spent more than 24 hours without power, heat or hot water. A generator only powered their community room, hallway lights and elevator. Evergreen Pantry Gets Nearly 2,000 Pounds of Aid Delivered by Deputies

(KDVR) — A local food pantry in Evergreen received a major donation Saturday after deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office delivered nearly 2,000 pounds of food and supplies, much of it carried on their backs. Deputies trekked three miles through Evergreen carrying 50-pound packs filled with food and toiletries as part of a charity ruck, starting at Evergreen High School and ending at Evergreen Christian Outreach. “We train for this stuff, right?” Deputy Sheriff Drake Acosta said. “We make sure we’re all physically fit and ready to go for anything that comes our way. By CBS Colorado New Year's morning drew hundreds of people for a longstanding tradition in Evergreen. The Evergreen Lake Plunge brought over 350 people to jump in a hole cut in the ice of the frigid lake. "I don't know. Why are we doing this? For fun," said one mom there with her two boys.
