Is every government employee a cop now? Supreme Court case tests federal power

By Greg Walcher | Commentary, GregWalcher.com I don’t know anyone else who tracks the number of federal cops, but the watchdog group Open the Books occasionally reports on the burgeoning number of federal agencies with law enforcement divisions. The latest report, “The Militarization of Federal Bureaucracy,” detailed the astonishing scope of federal police power. There are over 200,000 federal officers with guns, badges, and arresting authority, in a whopping 103 different federal agencies. The federal government has more law enforcement officers than America’s 25 largest cities combined. Those 103 federal agencies – half of which are not primarily law enforcement – spent $3.7 billion on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment between 2006 and 2023. The FBI and ICE have always...

GOP Lawmaker Forces Tough Admissions in House Judiciary Showdown

By Matt Vespa | Townhall.com Yesterday's House Judiciary Committee hearing featured fireworks as Attorney General Pam Bondi, well-prepared and skillfully outmaneuvered House Democrats. She responded with sharp retorts, sparking some intense confrontations.  https://twitter.com/TheOnlyDSC/status/2021709153769558095?s=20 But let’s get to Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX), who used the opportunity to obliterate the Biden Justice Department for their years-long campaign of political retribution against their rivals. It was a lightning round that took a knife to the gut of the old Biden DOJ and their corruption: https://twitter.com/overton_news/status/2021684951045824743?s=20 READ THE FULL ARTICLE AT TOWNHALL.COM

FBI Quietly Planned for Disputed 2020 Election Long Before Capitol Riot

By John Solomon and Steven Richards | Just the News What did they know, and when did they know it? The memos from 2020 recently turned over to Congress by FBI Director Kash Patel also warned that foreign enemies like Iran and China were likely to foment domestic violence on U.S. soil. The FBI conducted a tabletop exercise in summer 2020 that imagined what sort of violence might ensue in a contested presidential election that year, devising strategies like undercover informants and mass prosecutions for minor crimes that it would later use with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, documents obtained by Just the News show. FBI Director Kash Patel turned over the long-secret memos to Congress last week, providing fresh evidence that federal law enforcement was acutely con...

ICE Operations Hampered in Colorado and Minnesota After Activists Aid Child Rapist and Gang Member

By Alec Schemmel | Fox News FIRST ON FOX: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is detailing cases in which anti-ICE agitators actively helped criminal illegal immigrants evade federal arrest, including suspects accused of child rape, domestic abuse and gang-related violence. The cases point to a growing pattern of organized interference with federal immigration enforcement during recent ICE operations.  "These are the monsters that agitators and sanctuary politicians are protecting," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital. "We remind the public that obstructing law enforcement is a felony and a federal crime." According to DHS, members of the anti-ICE Colorado Rapid Response Network alerted Jo...

Bongino’s Departure From the FBI Sparks Public Debate, Take the Poll

By Just the News staff | Just the News The announcement followed months of speculation over his future at the agency and came amid longstanding rumors of a rift with Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Epstein files. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Wednesday announced his plans to leave the FBI at the end of the year. "I will be leaving my position with the FBI in January. I want to thank President Trump, AG Bondi, and Director Patel for the opportunity to serve with purpose," he posted on X. " Most importantly, I want to thank you, my fellow Americans, for the privilege to serve you. God bless America, and all those who defend Her." READ THE FULL ARTICLE AT JUST THE NEWS

FBI Reports Fivefold Surge in Arrests Tied to NVE Networks Exploiting Children

By Mary Margaret Olohan | The Daily Wire “This FBI is fully engaged in dismantling NVE networks and violent groups like 764." WASHINGTON—The Federal Bureau of Investigation says it has seen a dramatic 490% increase in “Nihilistic Violent Extremism” arrests during the past fiscal year, The Daily Wire can first report — an almost fivefold increase in the 2025 fiscal year. These arrests are mostly associated with 764, an online network that preys on young children, The Daily Wire has learned. “Members of ‘764’ use known online social media communications platforms as mediums to support the possession, production, and sharing of extreme gore media and child sex abuse material with vulnerable, juvenile populations,” the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland ...

Newly Released Report Reveals 274 FBI Agents Deployed to Capitol on Jan. 6

By John Solomon and Steven Richards | Just the News Hidden for four years, an after-action report on FBI's involvement in Jan. 6 riot found by Director Patel shows dozens of agents feared that the FBI had become "woke" and "liberally biased." The FBI secretly deployed more than 250 plainclothes agents to the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, an operation so disorganized it unleashed searing frustrations among many of the FBI's rank-and-file that the bureau had lost its core competencies to "wokeness" and allowed its employees to become “pawns in a political war,” according to an after-action report kept from the public for more than four years. Scores of FBI agents and personnel – many from the bureau’s premier Washington field office (WFO) – sent anonymous complaints to ...

Congressman Jeff Hurd backs ICE enforcement: “We need to follow the law”

By Wylee Mitchell | KJCT8 News GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - “I don’t think this is a republican issue or democratic issue. This is an issue of economic security, national security, and we need to follow the law,” Congressman Jeff Hurd said. Despite ongoing ICE protests across the country, the Department of Homeland Security said they will continue to crack on illegal immigration. Congressman Hurd represents the 3rd District in Colorado, which includes Mesa County. He said removing criminals who are in the country illegally should be a top priority. “Being here in the United States illegally is a is a violation of federal law.
