$16 trillion question: Was the climate agenda history’s biggest financial misfire?

By Stephen Moore | Commentary, The Epoch Times Environmental scholar Bjorn Lomborg recently calculated that across the globe, governments have spent at least $16 trillion feeding the climate change industrial complex. And for what? Arguably, not a single life has been or will be saved by this shameful and colossal misallocation of human resources. The war on safe and abundant fossil fuels has cost countless lives in poor countries and made those countries poorer by blocking affordable energy. Since the global warming crusade started some 30 years ago, the temperature of the planet has not been altered by one-tenth of a degree—as even the alarmists will admit. In other words, $16 trillion has been spent—a lot of people got very, very rich off the governmen...

Denver Audit Questions Spending On Alcohol And Meals For Taxpayer Supported Nonprofit

By Shaul Turner | KDVR FOX31 DENVER (KDVR) —  A Denver addiction and mental health foundation spent thousands of taxpayers’ money on alcohol and food, according to a city audit. The city and county of Denver tells FOX31 the nonprofit Caring For Denver Foundation issued funds to organizations that submitted falsified and misleading information. The foundation refutes the claims but is now making some changes. Created in 2018, the Caring For Denver Foundation has awarded more than $185 million in grants to 270 different organizations.  Executive Director Lorez Meinhold issued a statement to FOX31 saying the Foundation “has helped make a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of Denverites suffering from addiction and ment...

Jay Bhattacharya’s Senate testimony signals the end of a public health era

By Justin Hart | Commentary, Rational Ground Substack The man they tried to destroy is now dismantling the machine piece by piece. There he sat — our friend, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, the Stanford professor who dared to question lockdowns when questioning was heresy, who co-authored the Great Barrington Declaration when such thoughts were considered dangerous misinformation. The man who was shadow-banned, fact-checked, and ostracized by the very institution he now leads. (I wrote about his censorship in the Wall Street Journal back in 2022 — it’s worth revisiting today.) Today, February 3rd, 2026, Jay Bhattacharya testified before the Senate Health Committee as the Director of the National Institutes of Health. The irony was so thick you could cut it wi...

Trump Administration Reviews $88 Million in Pandemic Loans to Planned Parenthood

By Katherine Hamilton | Breitbart The Small Business Administration (SBA) is probing whether affiliates of abortion giant Planned Parenthood illegally received $88 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans during the COVID-19 pandemic. “At the height of the pandemic, affiliates of Planned Parenthood took $88 million in taxpayer dollars to fund their abortion-on-demand agenda—and the Biden administration made sure they got nearly every cent forgiven, even after the first Trump administration protested,” SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler told The Daily Signal.  “Six years later, the Trump SBA holds the same conviction: Planned Parenthood Federation of America was never eligible to receive a dime in pandemic-era relief from taxpayers,” she added.&...

White House Seeks Accounting of Federal Funds Sent to Colorado and Other Blue States

By Tony Kovaleski | Denver7 The order comes a week after Trump said he intended to cut off federal funding that goes to states that are home to “sanctuary cities” that resist his immigration policies President Donald Trump's budget office this week ordered most government agencies to compile data on the federal money that is sent to 14 mostly Democratic-controlled states and the District of Columbia in what it describes as a tool to “reduce the improper and fraudulent use of those funds.” The order comes a week after Trump said he intended to cut off federal funding that goes to states that are home to “sanctuary cities” that resist his immigration policies. He said that would start Feb. 1 but hasn't unveiled further details. A memo to federal depart...

FRAUD ALERT: Millions of People in Zero Premium Obamacare Plans May Have Never Signed Up

By Amanda Head | Just The News Obamacare abused by brokers to sign up millions for healthcare without their consent or knowledge. As a result, insurance companies reaped windfall profits, at the expense of taxpayers. In exchange for gift cards, millions of Americans were unwittingly signed up for Obamacare by brokers who scalped their vital information and enrolled them in plans where premiums were paid by the American people, a research group says.   "The government was sending massive checks to insurance companies who were making windfall profits on behalf of people who didn't use any health care," Brian Blase, president of Paragon Health Institute, a healthcare policy group told Just The News. A 2021-2022 expansion of Affordable Care Act subsidie...

NGOs And The Rise Of An Unelected Shadow Government

By: Defender of the Republic | Defender of the Republic How Nonprofits Can Exacerbate Fraud, Launder Public Money and How Citizens Can Stop It. For years, Americans have been told that NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) are benevolent, independent charities doing work the government “can’t.” The truth is more complicated and more dangerous. Many NGOs today function as unelected extensions of government power, funded by taxpayer money, shielded from transparency, and largely immune from voter accountability. When abused, this structure can exacerbate fraud, enable money laundering, and distort public policy all while appearing charitable on paper. Now before you start questioning my reporting…isn’t about attacking char...

Federal freeze targets childcare money in Colorado and four other states

By Emily Peck | Axios The Trump administration says it is freezing $10 billion in funds for child care and poor families in five blue states, the Office of Management and Budget confirmed to Axios Monday. Why it matters: The White House is pointing to reports of social services fraud in Minnesota to threaten funding for child care around the country. Child care providers are bracing for a slowdown in funds and the possibility of cuts that threaten their ability to operate. That could create wider issues, as millions of parents rely on child care to get to their jobs. Where it stands: Funds are being suspended for California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and New York, according to the New York Post, which earlier reported the news. The h...

Minnesota Fraud Scandal Raises New Questions About Obama Era Policies

By Tyler Durden (authored by X user Saggezza Etern) | Commentary, Zero Hedge Obama’s Billion-Dollar Minnesota Fraud Empire The Heist You Paid For Imagine waking up tomorrow to find your bank account empty. Every dollar you saved for your children’s tuition, your retirement, your security—gone. Now imagine looking out the window and seeing the thief driving a Porsche bought with your money, laughing as he waves a government-issued thank you note. This is not a hypothetical scenario. It is the reality of the American taxpayer in the wake of the single largest COVID-era fraud scheme in the nation’s history. While you were locked down, masked up, and worrying about the price of eggs, a sophisticated network of fraudsters in Minnesota was siphoning off a quarter of a billio...

Federal Eyes Turn to Minnesota After YouTuber Exposes Massive Childcare Fraud

By: Matt Vespa | Townhall I mean, it’s wild. Maybe not for the locals who likely saw the alleged Somalian corruption schemes that appear to be rampant. From Medicare to childcare, this group seems to have gamed the system for tens of billions of dollars. Democratic Gov. Tim Walz seems to have allowed this to go unchecked under his watch, so federal agents are stepping up to sift through this gravy train, where hordes of so-called daycare centers are set up and then left empty.  https://twitter.com/SteveAustinWI/status/2005247521044729944?s=20 A YouTuber, Nick Shirley, did what the mainstream press would not: he investigated childcare centers that are collecting millions in funding but have no kids. He was accused of being an ICE agent by some unhinged, old, crusty wh...
