Colorado Health Care Bailout Bill Could Hit Families and Small Businesses With $40 Million Fee

By Shaun Boyd | CBS Colorado Colorado insurers say health care premiums could increase by hundreds of dollars in 2027. The warning comes as state lawmakers consider $40 million in new fees on insurers that the companies say they'll pass on to policyholders.  Democratic stet Sens. Iman Jodeh and Kyle Mullica are sponsoring a bill that would bail out the Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise, which is short $140 million. The enterprise subsidizes care for 176,000 Coloradans on Connect for Health Colorado and 6,700 undocumented immigrants on OmniSalud. That's in addition to supporting the Colorado Reinsurance Program, which helps cover high-cost claims. READ THE FULL ARTICLE AT CBS COLORADO

Meet Senator Iman Jodeh: Zohran Mamdani’s Radical Colorado Counterpart

By Ahnaf Kalam | Guest Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice New York City has inflicted Zohran Mamdani on itself—the socialist assemblyman who parlayed his anti-Israel bile and Islamist sympathies into the mayoralty, all while whining about "racist attacks" from those who dare call out his jihadist flirtations. Colorado, not to be outdone in this parade of self-destruction, has Iman Jodeh: our own state senator, the so-called "trailblazer" whose Palestinian fixation and alliances with terror cheerleaders make her a mirror image of Mamdani's radicalism.  Both peddle the same poison—elevating Hamas's "narrative" over facts, hobnobbing with antisemites, and stoking divisions that rot the body politic. Now, with Mamdani's win and the progressive purge of Aurora's city council—race-baiti...

Rep. Iman Jodeh selected by Democrats to replace District 29 Sen. Janet Buckner

By Marianne Goodland | Colorado Politics A Democratic vacancy committee in Arapahoe County on Monday night chose Rep. Iman Jodeh of Aurora to succeed state Sen. Janet Buckner. Buckner resigned last month, just weeks after winning an uncontested race for her second term in the state Senate. Jodeh, who won her third term in the House by 25 percentage points in November, defeated two challengers for the seat, including Maya Wheeler and Christian Caldwell. Jodeh won with 35 votes out of 42 cast; Wheeler got seven votes, and Caldwell did not receive any votes. READ THE FULL STORY AT COLORADO POLITICS

Kalam: From the river to the statehouse, Rep. Iman Jodeh’s divided loyalties

By Ahnaf Kalam | Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice There are few things in politics more damning than silence in the face of evil. Rep. Iman Jodeh’s absence from a key legislative meeting in February 2024, where Colorado lawmakers met with families of victims of Hamas's Oct. 7 massacre, is one such silence. Coupled with her prior actions and rhetoric, it reveals a troubling pattern: Jodeh’s activism for Palestine does not simply overshadow her responsibilities to her constituents, but appears to align — intentionally or not — with justifications for terror. When Jodeh first ran for office, I expressed concerns in The American Spectator that she would place her activism for Palestine above her duty to serve Colorado’s House District 41. Unfortunately, recent events have proven th...
