Vance Backs Compensation For Tina Peters As Colorado Fallout Grows

By Jessica Porter | Denver7 The Vice President made the comments when asked about a new $1.8 billion fund for political allies. DENVER — Vice President JD Vance held Tina Peters up as a shining example of someone who should be compensated under the Trump administration's newly created $1.8 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund.” “This innocent grandmother was going to spend 10 years in prison, completely disproportionate to any misdemeanor trespassing that I have ever seen. Was that fair, no? Is it reasonable to get some compensation for the fact that she was treated unfairly? I think the answer was yes,” Vance said during a press conference on Tuesday. Tina Peters was convicted in 2024 of allowing an unauthorized person to download software from Mesa County’s elec...

4 highlights from Rededicate 250: Faith leaders call America back to God

By Jon Brown | The Christian Post WASHINGTON — Several high-profile Christian speakers addressed thousands who gathered Sunday on the National Mall for Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving, an all-day prayer and worship festival ahead of the 250th anniversary of United States independence. Held to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the Second Continental Congress designating "a day of humiliation, fasting, and prayers" amid the trials of the Revolutionary War, several prominent faith leaders and Trump administration officials who spoke at the event stressed the importance of returning to that same spirit of humble repentance and reliance upon the Lord. Colorado’s $500,000 Medicaid commission has no mandate to investigate fraud

By Jen Schumann | Rocky Mountain Voice Colorado lawmakers spent weeks debating a new commission to study Medicaid sustainability. The bill they sent to Gov. Jared Polis on May 9 names three major failures inside the state’s Medicaid system in its legislative declaration—the post-COVID eligibility purge, the rideshare scandal and the autism therapy audit. But the bill never directs the commission to investigate fraud, waste or abuse. Instead, SB26-187 creates a 10-member Medicaid Cost Containment and Sustainability Commission tasked with “establishing shared understanding,” exploring policy options and producing recommendations. The bill includes a $500,000 appropriation, including $415,000 for a contractor to facilitate meetings and roughly seven months to produce a report—due...

Trump Task Force Uncovers Nationwide Web Of Welfare And Immigration Fraud

By Steven Richards | Just the News The cost to taxpayers identified by Vice President JD Vance's task for targeting government benefit programs is mounting, and no plausible explanations are forthcoming. The Trump administration’s work to pare back waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government has reportedly exposed a vast network of taxpayer-fleecing scams, abuses of immigration, and of the citizenship process across all corners of the United States.  The story involves resettled refugees soaking up federal paychecks to run home healthcare and childcare businesses, transnational criminal organizations exploiting food benefit programs, and scammers using fake student profiles to make off with millions in federal student loans. It also involves non-monetary f...

Iran Threatens Escalation Ahead of Ceasefire Expiration

By Robert McGreevy | Fox News Iran ceasefire expires Tuesday as Vance heads to Pakistan for a second round of negotiations. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf threatened to "reveal new cards on the battlefield" in a Monday evening social media post just days before the agreed ceasefire between the United States and Iran is set to expire. "Trump, by imposing a siege and violating the ceasefire, seeks to turn this negotiating table — in his own imagination — into a table of surrender or to justify renewed warmongering," Ghalibaf wrote on X. "We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats, and in the past two weeks, we have prepared to reveal new cards on the battlefield," he concluded. Ghalibaf led the Iranian delegat...

Vance Announces White House Review Of Omar Immigration Claims

By Virginia Grace McKinnon | The Daily Signal Vice President JD Vance alleges that Rep. She immigrated to the United States from Somalia in 1995 and was naturalized in 2000. Vance Leads Push To Crack Down On $250 Billion In Federal Fraud

By Breccan F. Thies | The Federalist The task force has a wide range of activity that it considers fraud. The Trump administration’s efforts to attack government fraud are beginning in earnest, with a memo directing the first steps for the President’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, which the government says accounts for $250 billion in losses every year. “Every year, hardworking Americans pay taxes to fund a vast benefits system for citizens in need. These benefits programs are laudable and are a testament to the generosity of the American people,” the memo to task force members from Vice President J.D. Vance and Federal Trade Commission Chairman (FTC) Andrew N. Ferguson, who serves as the task force’s vice chair, states. “Unfortunately, these programs have b...
