John Bolton Surrenders to Face Federal Charges Over Classified Material

Former White House National Security Advisor John Bolton surrendered to federal authorities Friday after being indicted on 18 counts related to the improper handling of classified materials. Sources say former Trump aide John Bolton may be indicted within days

By Just the News staff | Just the News John Bolton, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, is facing criminal charges as soon as next week, MSNBC investigative journalist Carol Leonnig reported Friday afternoon while on air. The acting U.S. attorney in Maryland is moving forward with the charges, Leonnig reported, citing two people familiar with the case. The case has been before a grand jury for several weeks investigating whether Bolton improperly possessed classified national security information in his Maryland home. FBI Executes Dawn Raid at John Bolton’s Maryland Home in Security Probe

Fox News Digital later spotted agents at Bolton's Washington, D.C., office removing boxes and Bolton was seen in the lobby of the building. The searches are focused on potential classified documents agents believe Bolton may still possess, according to one source. Bolton, who served as President Donald Trump’s national security advisor from 2018 to 2019, is not in custody or under arrest.
