By Dillon Thomas | CBS Colorado Avian flu continues to impact agriculture workers and their operations, causing some companies in Northern Colorado to spend millions of dollars to combat further spread.  On Monday morning, local agriculture leaders, experts and more gathered with Sen. John Hickenlooper to discuss how the avian flu continues to impact Northern Colorado and beyond. "We have seen an outbreak of this rapidly transmitted poultry virus," Hickenlooper said. While meeting with the panel at a Colorado State University facility, Hickenlooper learned the avian flu not only causes birds to get sick, but also humans and more. Gov. Polis, leading Democrat lawmakers plan to grandstand Trump’s MAGA rally

By Jesse Sarles | CBS Colorado Friday will be a busy day in Colorado politics as former President Donald Trump is set to visit the state and hold a campaign rally in Aurora in the early afternoon.  In response, Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign announced Wednesday that several Democratic leaders will hold a news conference in Aurora a few hours before the former president's rally, and will "hold Trump accountable for spreading misinformation about the Aurora community." A statement from the Harris campaign said Colorado elected officials including Gov. Jared Polis, Sen. John Hickenlooper and Reps. John Hickenlooper said Wednesday that he believes it could be "in the best interests of the country" if President Joe Biden ends his bid for reelection, though the Colorado Democrat didn't call on Biden to exit the race, instead suggesting that the president could be nearing that decision. "Joe Biden has always put the country first. He's done what's best for America," Hickenlooper told Reuters in an interview. "He's working towards that."
