Rasmussen poll reveals why so many young voters are turning radical

By Brian Joondeph | Commentary, Rasmussen Reports Rasmussen Report’s new survey of voters under 40 paints a stark picture. Most believe the economy is unfair to them, and a majority would even support a law to confiscate Americans’ “excess wealth” (second homes, luxury cars, boats) to help young people buy a first home. Fifty-five percent endorse that idea, but just 38% oppose it. Only 29% of individuals under 40 are homeowners, and many feel “stuck,” lonely, or in crisis.  Why the sudden shift? Start with COVID’s totalitarian backlash. Youth mental health was declining before 2020, but the pandemic, especially school closures and extended isolation, made it worse. CDC’s latest Youth Risk Behavior data show four in ten high school students reported persistent...

FCC chair calls CBS News’ conduct ‘hard to explain’ following release of Kamala Harris interview transcript

By Joseph A. Wulfsohn , Brian Flood | Fox News Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr knocked CBS News' conduct following the release of the network's unedited transcript of its "60 Minutes" interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris. The FCC released the raw transcript and footage it obtained from CBS News of its October 2024 sit-down with Harris that has been at the center of controversy.  "CBS's conduct is hard to explain," Carr told Fox News Digital. "On the one hand, CBS immediately released the unredacted transcript of a recent interview with Vice President Vance. Yet for months they refused to release the one with Vice President Harris." Tellers for the Senate's vote counting were Sens. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and those on the House side were Reps. Bryan Steil, R-Wis., and Joe Morelle, D-N.Y. The 312 electoral college votes for Trump were counted and presented by the tellers, in addition to the 226 votes for Vice President Kamala Harris. READ THE FULL STORY AT FOX NEWS

Harris won female cat owners, but Trump got the dog owner vote: AP VoteCast

By  Linley Sanders, Humera Lodhi and Annie Ng | AP The lead-up to the 2024 election was all about cat owners — but in the end, the dogs had their day. President-elect Donald Trump won slightly more than half of voters who own either cats or dogs, with a big assist from dog owners, according to AP VoteCast, a survey of more than 120,000 voters. Dog owners were much more likely to support Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris. Cat owners, meanwhile, were split between the two candidates. About two-thirds of voters said they own a dog or cat, but pet owners don't usually get much attention from politicians. That is, until this year, when then-vice presidential candidate JD Vance's old comments about “childless cat ladies” briefly became a campaign issue — and Taylor Swift signed he...

Why Kamala Harris got so many fewer votes than Biden

By Fred Lucas | Daily Signal Social media posts after the presidential election were abuzz about the disparity in the vote tally from 2020 to 2024.  Preliminary counts show President-elect Donald Trump with almost as many votes as he got in 2020, when he came up short in his reelection effort against Joe Biden. Trump appears to have 73.3 million votes now; in 2020, he won 74.2 million.  But Vice President Kamala Harris appears to have won about 12 million fewer votes than Biden did against Trump in 2020. Biden won 81.2 million votes in 2020; Harris so far has 69 million votes.  READ THE FULL STORY AT THE DAILY SIGNAL

Harris campaign blew through $1 billion in 107 days

By MIG Reports Key Takeaways: Americans are disgusted at the Harris campaign’s spending, tying it to beliefs that Democrats are fiscally irresponsible. Reports of the campaign ending with $20 million in debt, after fundraising $1 billion, lead voters to draw parallels with government overspending with no tangible results. Some contrast Trump’s promises to cut government spending with Harris’s runaway spending, expressing relief that Trump is the president-elect. Recent reports allege the Harris campaign spent the $1 billion dollars it fundraised, and after only 107 days, ended the campaign with a $20 million debt. This news elicits sharply negative voter reactions. Reactions point to widespread perceptions of fiscal irresponsibility and elite detachment from American co...

Court shoots down Biden admin’s mass amnesty order for hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants

By Jason Hopkins | Daily Caller The Biden-Harris administration suffered a major defeat in federal court on Thursday amid its fight to provide amnesty for up to half a million illegal migrants living in the United States. President Joe Biden’s executive order that attempted to provide a pathway to citizenship for hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants married to American citizens is unlawful, a federal judge in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Texas ruled on Thursday. Biden’s order, which was first announced over the summer, was challenged by the Texas attorney general and a slate of other GOP-led states. “Since day one, the Biden-Harris Administration has dedicated itself to the decimation of our immigration system and the erasure of our borders,” stated Gene...

Kamala Harris admits that everything she said about Trump was a lie

By Brianna Lyman | The Federalist Failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris admitted on Wednesday that she knew every single attack she launched against President-Elect Donald Trump and his presidency was a bald-faced lie. More than twelve hours after Trump delivered a stunning blow to the regime and swept both the popular vote and Electoral College, Harris took the stage at Howard University to begrudgingly concede. She could have conceded in the wee hours of the morning, but that would have required showing up when it mattered — something she clearly doesn’t do (see her disastrous handling of Afghanistan). But it wasn’t her hollow speech about “unity” and “joy” that stood out. It was the moment she openly confessed to spreading egregious falsehoods about Trump for months, all...

Kamala Harris concedes, but tells supporters not to give up the ‘fight’

By Bradley Devlin | The Daily Signal After skipping out on speaking to supporters Tuesday night, Vice President Kamala Harris delivered her concession speech at Howard University on Wednesday afternoon. The sitting vice president, thrown into the race without a primary some 100 days before the election after President Joe Biden’s withdrawal, told supporters not to despair but continue “the fight that fueled this campaign.” By the time Harris addressed her supporters from her alma mater, the bleachers were nearly empty. Analysis: Harris dominated in seven Front Range Colorado counties, deciding election

By BRIAN PORTER | Commentary, Rocky Mountain Voice As middle America largely was a sea of Red on Tuesday evening and into the morning, Colorado was a liberal outlier, going with Kamala Harris for President. While conservatives woke Tuesday morning to celebrate the election of Donald J. Trump as the 47th U.S. President, a glance at the election map details Coloradans still reside in a Blue state. Harris earned 54.6% of the 2,517,989 votes cast, defeating Trump by an 11.5% margin, according to results with 72% of ballots reported. Six of the seven states surrounding Colorado are projected to go for Trump. Wyoming to the north of Weld County to the western state line gave him 72.3% support, Nebraska bordering the northeastern plains of the state provided 60.2% support, Kansas the nei...
